Maybe police are over using these things, he was naked so they know he was'nt armed. Were they afraid they'd get there uniforms dirty grabbing him and forcing him to the ground?

Tasers can kill, they should'nt be used just because police do'nt want to have to work up a sweat.

Hey, they just tasered an old man with Alzheimer's here in Austin. Last I heard, he was still in the hospital.

You know how dangerous those old-timers can be when they're lost and disoriented...

It's time for cops to start treating their own tasers the way they'd treat them if it were YOU holding one on THEM. They're lethal weapons, whether that's their intention or not. They are NOT the automatic go-to weapon of choice when you don't like someone's attitude.

But so far they're legal, so anything that happens due to their use (or so-called overuse) is perfectly fine.
Trust me.

I had to kinda explain myself at a hearing relative to the events following the City Council fiasco regarding that one officer...

Nailed it solid with a single comment.
"If I pointed one at you in a rage, would you feel your life was in danger ?"

Btw, my shielded jacket came in kinda handy for another reason the other day - it offered some protection when I discovered in a very not-fun way that the shop which had installed the four prong plug on my dryer had wired it wrong.
