I can't be that cynical about it. They've made enjoyable things, even when they weren't what artsy people would call actual art. Good indie stuff has always been out there if you wanted to take the time to look for it.

I find it kind of amusing that in 2024 I'm almost coming to Hollywood's defense. A lot of people's eyes were opened by the woke agenda amped up to a million over the last 5 or so years and everyone seems to be turning against Hollywood now.

They've got a lot of problems they need to fix. I think they're working on that right now because the economy forced their hand. They've got a long way to go though.

Between the Woke Agenda, Covid shutdowns and Joe Biden*'s economy, they've got a trifecta of obstacles ahead of them and they need to fire anybody on board who isn't figuring out a way to put those obstacles behind them.
