I was working out after work, and was doing curls, with some bowflex weights, and usually, I can manage, but today when I set the weights down on my chair, before putting them back into the rack. I thought it was resting on my seat cushion, but it was actually on the brake, it slipped off, and cought one of the discs that holds the weight on, and the disc snapped. The weight wasn't mine, and now I might have to shell out $500 for a new set to replace the broken one. It all depends one what the owner of the weight set says tomorrow.

In short I'm totally screwed!

Jossisagod,

In a case like this I find the best way to deal with it is to be truthful, honest and up-front about the incident, which means I would use one of my most helpful sayings:

“ I don’t know what the hell happened! While I wasn’t looking the thing just broke!”

That has gotten me out of a lot of jams….feel free to use it.
