Rosco Tanner looked across the huge polished table at the sub-executives of the BOX network. As head of network programming he had more power in his little pinkie then all the shaking masses of humanity before him. Their reflections in the table told him they were trembling like little puppies, just like Dorothy, Tin Man , Scarecrow and the lion in front of the Wizard in the WoO.

“I don’t care if there’s trouble with the actors on the show!!” He barked, “ Get me some new ones!!” He shouted. He sure as hell didn’t want “ The On Again Adventures of Fiirefly” to end just yet. “Oh and get me some new directors and producers. Doesn’t matter if Jhoss isn’t onboard anymore.”

He paused, “ Oh……and rewrite that blasted theme song! Gives people hope that they have some kind of choice of what’s on tv. Write something more “conformative.”

He looked,….all the board members were shaking their heads in agreement.

That agreed upon the “On Again Adventures of Fiirefly” began it’s 21st season.

“ I don’t care if I’m not free, don’t give a rats ass long as they pay me!”

“ As long as the show stays in the black, makes no matter how I act,”

“I’ll make a ton of money before it’s cancellation, if you want dirty rumors check the WEB for information…..”

Rosco looked over at his group of loyal “Yes” men. “Now that’s a show to be proud of !” He said with cigar smoke pouring from his mouth.

“ACTION!!“

Malcolm Reynolds (Jeffrey Donovan) gazed down at his bowl of sturgeon soup as his wife Inara ( Morgan Fairchild) busied herself in the ships galley behind him. He’d have to tell them and soon, he thought.

He’d called a meeting of the ships crew Zerenity to inform them of the plans he’d figured out to make the crew some money. He’d been able to get his original crew back together, the same crew of that fateful day back on Persephone ( original characters, not the original actors of course). Well most of them. Book and Wash were gone but Zoe (Beyonce), Kaylee (Yvonne Strahovski) and River were back. Jayne too (Bruce Campbell) had been retrieved, though in somewhat of a different capacity.

‘Well now’s as good a time as any.” He thought. He walked over to a com button on the wall.

“Everyone report to the ship’s galley, time for us to do a little misbehaving!”

Soon Kaylee and Zoe arrived, then Simon (Dominic Monahan) right after. In a while they heard a sound at the galley entranceway.

“ Mal, you gonna help me with this!!” Jayne’s voice boomed.

“ Simon.” Mal nodded at the doctor. Simon pushed a button and a ramp rose up from the floor. It had cost him a lot of money making Zerenity wheelchair friendly but Malcolm Reynolds had done it. Jayne appeared at the door top of the ramp and before anyone could stop him he lost control and the chair rushed forward crashing into the galley table.

“Hou Tuern” Jayne cursed as sturgeon soup splashed all over him.

Only recently had it been found out that Jayne had not been killed by an angry mob of mudderz back at the Canton factory settlement. He’d only been severely beaten. The pissed-off mudderz had forced their one time hero to become a mudder just as they were, only as mudderz go he was the lowest of the low, a bottom feeder. Forced to stomp mud during the worst of weather conditions. This is what had led to his injuries. During the workday of a cold, winter spell Jayne’s legs had become frozen to the mucky earth. The people of mud town had called the only doctor available to them. A horse doctor whose tool of choice was a saw. Jayne’s legs had been amputated below the knees. It had saved his life but bittered the big man beyond belief. Now Here he was back aboard Zerenity.

“ Ok here’s the plan.” Mal began. “ We will be landing on Boros soon . Inara has a wealthy client there with more than enough cashy money to supply us for weeks and pay for all the modifications I’ve had to have done to the ship.” He glanced over at Jayne.

The crew looked at their captain in disbelief! Was he willing to have Inara start Companioning again? They were shocked.

“ No it ain’t like that! She will presume to be Companioning. The farce is that she has brought along her brother,” Mal looked again at Jayne, “ His doctor, Simon and his nurse, Zoe. This gets us in past the guards and security. Once inside your job will be to case the place and find a weak spot. Report back to me then I’ll zoom in with shuttle 2 and rob the joint…….everything goes smooth and we should be in and out within a few hours. After that all will be SHINY.”

The new cast were still getting used to each other and their parts. Parts that had been played successfully by others for many episodes. These actors wanted the OAAOF to continue on for another 20 years. They needed to get their timing and character development just right.

Simon (Dominic Monaghan) looked over at Mal with a questionable look.

“ Well what about River?” He asked.

“ I’ve been thinking about that. “ Mal said. “ Could be we could use a psychic on this. Call her down. See if she flashes on anything.”

Simon looked past the galley door. “ River come here a minute, we need your help with something.”

Through the galley doors in walked a girl. Twin ponytails made at the sides with her hair.

River ( Carmen Electra ) stood in the galley doorway.

“ Need my help big brother?”

“River!? My gosh sister have you grown!!” Was all a bug eyed Simon and Mal could say.
