Well, they DID warm up with blasting things into the surface of Mars...

Of course, those were quite unintentional, and a result of the teams working on the lander not being in communication as to whether they were working in feet or meters, so instead of a nice soft landing, the fucker augured itself deep into the Martian mantle, at which time the deceleration 'chute popped out and brought it to a safe landing.

Why don't NASA just land on the Moon and scoop some dirt, then fly it back to Earth?

I think NASA's got a problem. Their 6:15am live broadcast is now several minutes late...

Now it's started, "dedicated to Walter Cronkite", the voice of the Owl of Bohemia at Bohemian Grove homosexual nudist compound and presidential retreat for human sacrifice to Satan and snuff kiddie porn.

"Now the flight team is having network connection problems. We cannot see the other stations, that we are connected to by webcams." Presumably that's the giant telescopes that this mission was designed for...

"China, Japan and India have recently had successful Lunar missions. We can't ignore the Moon any longer..."

The LCROSS director of science at Ames Lab has a huge mullet...

Video: 1 frame per 2 seconds for LCROSS, with loss of all video for final 1 minute before impact of the first bomb. Compare to 30 frames per second for Apollo video... No visible plume of impact dust from bomb 1. Very low resolution video could not see anything immediately before alleged impact of bomb 2. Bomb 2 appeared to miss the target crater that bomb 1 allegedly hit.

Still no images from Earth telescopes...

Why is this actual NASA LCROSS video of the live impact called an "ANIMATION"?

The mission control at Ames looked like the finance office of a used car dealership. With ZZ Top.

LCROSS looked a whole lot more like a whimper than a bang, falling far short of the dramatic NASA animation endlessly played on TV to stoke interest in the moon mission.
www.wired.com/geekdad/2009/10/nasas-big-hit-lcross-impacts-on-the-moon/

ZERO photos at NASA on LCROSS results...

www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/news/releases/2009/09-131AR.html

Frankly, it looked fake, with all B/W photos stopped one minute before impact on a little "moon" globe.

Is that the best NASA can do with 2009 technology?

Redneck strippers with Walmart technology do a better job at LCROSS:
