got me thinking. Has anyone ever inquired at a convention or wherever about the origin of the name of this law firm? Does it mean something or does it mean absolutely nothing?

I know nothing about it, but they did allude to a three-part group, the wolf, ram, and hart at the end of season 2. Don't kow how that relates though.

The Wolf, Ram, and Hart are a 3-in-one being, similar to the furies. I think Joss pulled his idea for the triad from the furies in fact.

The triad were the weakest of the true form demons that ruled the earth millions of years ago before passing beyond the material plane when the time of demons ended and the time of humanity arose. Illeria helps us understand a little bit about them in season 5. While they may have been the weakest and lowiest of the true demons of ages past, they are still godlike by modern standards. They seek to control various planes of existence. Pylea is under their control. Earth is not.

They use mortal agents to exert influence on the various planes they are interested in. In the case of Pylea, this takes the form of the priests we saw at the end of season 2. On earth they use the Wolfram & Hart law firm as their agents. This is why the "Home Office" is located in some sort of hellish place. They surely control other planes as well, most likely through agents that would be strange and alien to us on earth.

Do not fear me. Ours is a peaceful race, and we must live in harmony.
