okay, this is not really a question i am looking for an answer to, i am just using it to set up my joke. i was watching the finale for season 4 ("home")

Select to view spoiler:

yesterday and i noticed something that at the end, after angel has taken the deal to become the head of the LA branch of wolfram and hart and goes to see connor in his new life. did anyone else notice that the limo is driving on the left side of the road? are then in england? hahahaha. just a goofy little something. i wonder why the driver did that? at first, i thought it was because the road was one way, but the double yellow lines suggest that it is two way.

anyway, like i said, not a big deal, just something to amuse you guys on this friday afternoon.

It wasn't a driver goof, it was an editing mistake. The film is reversed on that part.

Editing mistake. I believe it's mentioned in the commentary for that episode.

BTW, I believe Angel was mostly filmed at Paramount studios. Why Paramount instead of Warner Bros. or Fox is beyond me, but there you have it.

QUICKSAND

The location filming was down in the Valley, down there. Studio work, not so sure. But as is evidenced from 'Buffy' and 'Firefly,' they do tend to get around their little part of SoCal.

I think it's when they flip the film over so that things on the left appear on the right and vice-versa like when an overhead projecter sheet is flipped over. Someone else can give you a technical answer but I just wanted to say that that's what they did in War stories in the one shot when Mal's missing ear is on the wrong side. They preferred having what they filmed the other way around so just reversed the film.

yeah, although not so much an editing mistake as an editing choice. tim says in the commentary he didn't like how it looked like the car had changed directions. anyways, it's a wolfram and hart limo. i doubt they worry much about which side they drive on;)

The technical term is 'flopping'.

They used the same technique on 'Titanic' during the boarding scene.

Originally, they only built the right hand side of the ship. They had to match months of predicted weather reports of a north to south wind that would help blow the funnel smoke in the right direction and make the ship look like it was moving.

(They had to go for historical accuracy in the end and flip the film over. :)

Everything had to be shot in reverse. (Clothing, lettering on clothing/side of vehicles and the direction people moved to make it work.

Keep flyin'!
