I get the lead character of The Rocky Horror Picture Show staring me in the face the moment I fire up the computer and come into this thread. Its seems that your meanness knows no bounds, and it proves to me that you will stop at nothing with your continued, annoying me with this 90210 business...oh well, do your worst Blowboy.

Yesterday I went to see some nice bespectacled Doctor who talked at length about a great many things I could careless about, and then he gave our distraught heroine a white piece of paper with a bunch of scribbling on it, which the people at the pharmacy somehow deciphered correctly, and gave our heroine a plastic tube full of thirty, round things which she's supposed to take 1 a day without the benefit of devil drink. Now our heroine actually had a full night’s sleep and feels like she’s been beaten with a big, ugly, stick found and wielded by some annoyingly sick kid who hated the world. So much for psychiatric progress.

I’m going to go to work today because the idea of sitting around at home, thinking up mean things to say to you doesn’t appeal right now.

And how is a pic of the good doctor an act of meanness? I'll have you know I'm a huge fan of RHPS... every Halloween, at the stroke of midnight, you'll find me loyally and dutifully going to see it.

It's a ritual. I get totally hammered at some bar or club, tear off my jeans and flanel, and get costumed up for the rabble-rousing shindig.

I look quite fetching in fishnet hosery and leather lingerie. And I still manage to keep my machismo in tact. I make penance for a month afterwards by drinking beer, playing hockey, and buying power tools.

And what? You now laying the responsibility for all of human history at my doorstep? You've been watchin too much Dr. Phil princess.

Now my 6th sense alarms are going off. You were the last person on the face of this planet that I would have suspected of (gasp!) engaging in the Rocky Horror Picture Show ritual. I thought you just tossed that picture up there to be a smartass.

I am sincerely shocked that people STILL go to see RHPS. I can see my generation being into...we were sexually repressed and all, and it was something new and different, but your generation? Your generation has sex with trees and anything else that moves!

I remember Rocky Horror Picture Show alright. During high school, I was in a Drama group (no surprise there!) doing plays and the like, and there was this theater near the high school I went to back in 1979 called The Neptune. Every Friday at midnight it would show Rocky Horror picture Show. My group and I would always dress up and go to it...girls and guys alike, but back then (I suspected) the guys only dressed up because they knew that they would be able to get "fresh" with us girls after the show, and we would be so wound up (and high) that we would let them. It was fun dressing up super sexy, and it was totally ostentatious behavior, but we were 17 and 18 year olds trying to be different, and it allowed us to express our sexuality in a fun way. It was also fun flinging toast and rice at the screen. I remembered having a lot of fun, and really wild times after the show. I can’t believe that I was ever that person doing such things, I had totally forgotten about those days.

My how times flies when you're getting whored by life experiences...

If you got alarms going off inbetween those ears of yours, it's your own preconceived misguided notions playing tricks on you. Don't you feel silly right about now? You need to loosen up. We should get everyone together, I'll bring a bottle of vodka, you pass out them pills, and we can all spend the whole night howling at the moon, operating heavy machinery and farm equipment, etc.

Stoic domesticity is for the birds. I ever stop having fun, someone, please, put me out of my misery. Stab me in the forehead with a butterknife.

There was once a theatre out where I live that did RHPS once per month (also a Friday at midnight). Then, over the years, they only did it once per year (midnight on Halloween). Unfortunately, ownership changed hands a couple years back and now they don't do it anymore. It's a shame. There was never a shortage of people there for the event, but apparently the new owners didn't much care for having to clean up the place the next day (or the libidinous freak zoo it attracted to their fine establishment). Fascist bastards! If I ever do find another place roundabouts where I live that does the show, rest assured yours truly will be going transvestite on "All Hallows Eve" once again.
