I don't know if this is a joke site or if the guy is psycho. I found this site through another message board (Straight Dope) and apparently this type of site is not too uncommon. The locals also mention http://www.timecube.com

Any fellow browncoats heard of either of these sites? Wacky, aren't they?

Should we mention to our TimeCube friend, that according to the period of a "day" - (we'll just state as sunrise to sunset) occurs not only 24 times in a single rotation on the Earth's axis (for all the time zones) but also infinitely because a person slightly furthur west from you, will begin and end his day slightly later than you, even if by billionths upon billionths of a second.

Then we could really burst his bubble and mention the poles too, of the 3/24+ hour days( depending on the tilt of the axis)...

Can we get the money he's offering too? Buy a bunch of DVDs.. (too bad he keeps changing if he's going to pay 10K, 1K, or $500...)

Ok. This TimeCube guy...he mentions (in not so many words) that he's basically been diagnosed as schizophrenic.

I think he very well might me. I am not a psychologist but I have a real schizophrenic in my family. Delusions of grandeur is illustrated very well in this guys website and is a typical sign of mental disorders (which is due to a chemical imbalance in the brain). Schizophrenics also tend to become fixated on religion and religious icons (he frequently mentions God and evil on his site) as well as becoming obsessive compulsive. This obsession of right and wrong, good and evil, black and white absolutes looks to be tied in to his religious fixation and delusions of grandeur. His attempt at sounding scientific and smart is smattered with curses and is disconcerting. Then he makes references to "The Matrix"?!

Whats scarier is that other scientists in the past have been labeled also as crazy. But this guy is really disturbed and instead of just trying to present his theory with whatever evidentiary support he has, he ranted on and on with no coherence.

I hope this guy gets on some medication.
