Thank you Dave for the translation - though it was perhaps a rhetorical - the site works now and i'm happy!

And they (the fruity oaty bars) look fantastic Sean. So whats next in your t.v. related snack food empire? you could try slurm i suppose - the trouble would be finding gigantic space slugs... then opening the canning factory... no, not a viable option.

And shut up. (in response to your costume 'solution') i'm just going to fall back on sibling talk now, so shut up.

There were picture of the naked vegas pirates? (and Simonwho - even when butt naked you can still tell a pirate by the 'Aaargh!'s and 'me hearty's' and the constant enquiries about alchoholic beverages) ok, going to search your lj now.
Not that i want to see naked people of course - yer all just talking about them... actually i'm very interested in their eyepatches.

Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

Seryn took my very clever response as to how one can tell if aomeone is a pirate when they are naked. Though, I was going to add that the tattoos usually narrow it down to "pirate" or "sailor" and that often the two are so similar as to be indistinguishable...but she said it well enough. (and yes, eyepatches. That's what we're interested in! Love those eyepatches!)

Sean, you could just wear an eye patch and a bandana and dunk a bucket o' ice water over your head and go as a wet nekkid pirate. I wouldn't complain about that!

dressing up a naked pirate totally defeats the purpose of the naked pirate.

Instead, I think we should send them to my cabin for..um..reprimanding. Yes! They must be punished for their wicked, wanton, wet ways.

Well naked is fairly easilly achieved though inconveninet in most social situations. Just think of the problems in the express checkout line I'd only be able to by ten things at the eleven items or less isle. Plus I only know three phrases in pirate: 'Ahoy matey', 'Shiver me timbers', and 'Walk the plank you scurvey dog'. That's not really enough for a meaningfull conversation.

I understand the ginormous Netflix queue.

Okay, Mr. Cotton is a pirate who's tongue got cut out for some reason or another and so he taught his parrot to talk in his stead. But, pretty much all the parrot can say is "Walk the plank" and other piratey catch phrases.

By the way "Walk the plank" mostly means yes.

But, feel free to adopt it as your newest euphemism. The world can never have too many euphemisms.

rhythmically that second verse would work better if it were 'put him in a dres and call him Shirley'

but i'm just a nit picker.

No Serenity - so many people have tats these days, its impossible to tell the punks from the plebs from the pirates - generally its only the quality that gives it away - i've even met a vicar with a pretty impressive collection.

My grandad had naked women and anchors on his arms - i always wondered how he survived around my grandmother with them - 'specially as she knew him before he joined the Marines.

anyway - what i mean is the demands for rum and booty are a giveaway every time.

oh yeah, they eyepatche - they're great.
