Summer is wonderful, but she does need to do a few more things - I'm seeing a slightly less emotional River on TSCC, and I'm loving the show, but seriously, she's got a LOT to do to beat someone like Milla.

Milla is wonderful, too, and I've got 20 different examples. Summer is young, let her do a bit more, and prove she can be more than just another facet of River (Who, as a complicated character, has many facets, but let's face it, she really hasn't gotten to do more than act crazy, kick ass, and not understand what 'the humans' are talking about). She's a very talented actress, and in a few more years, she may take Milla's place, but don't di Milla, who has worked her narrow little butt off proving how awesomely cool she is.

I worship Firefly, Joss, and ALL our Big Damn Heroes, but let's not let obsessive fandom make us blind to the fact that just because you weren't in Firefly, doesn't mean you can't be awesome.

Milla is one of my heroes, and I'm happy for her to win - she deserves it.

I hate those Resident Evil fliks. Feels too much like torture and mind control.

Milla got the idiot savant treatment in The Fifth Element, but that was 10 years ago. Now they let her speak.

TSCC is very stunted for all the actors, pun intended. It feels like brainwashing to keep Gov Arnold in the game for president, after the US Constitution is destroyed once and for all, as predicted in Demolition Man. Which would explain the script as an afterthought. Arnold fliks are on TV almost every day, even when the guy can't talk or act, and he didn't even win a majority in his election, as frontman for Gray Davis. No wonder California went bankrupt.

But Summer got first billing in the 4 choices for the award. Which shows she's a player, thanks to Joss.

Most actors have to be nominated several times before they win. And have sex scenes.

Milla might have twice the resume' Summer has, but Summer can act circles around her!

Milla did okay with "5th Element", did a fair job with the first "Resident Evil" movie, but the sequels sucked, and "Ultraviolet" sucked even more. Milla didn't bring anything to those characters another actress couldn't have done as good or FAR better! She's become something a an action star, but Summer can fill that bill, and is far more capable and believable in action sequences.

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.
