I'm sorta enjoying this new show on Fox, but nowhere near as much as the 1992 Rick Springfield version...

HAKEN

Likes to mess with stuffs.

I don't even remember that series on TV. Last I saw Rick Springfield was in Forever Knight. Coincidentally he doesn't seem to have aged much either.

CAZARIL

Hey look... it's Zac Adama

I watched both the pilot and the premiere, and liked them enough to continue watching for a while...

I thought it was funny that both Tricia Helfer (Six) and Donnelly Rhodes (Doc Cottle) were in the pilot, and then Alessandro Juliani (Lt. Gaeta) was in the premiere. I wonder who else from BSG is going to show up next... Then throw in the Rick Springfield/Zac Adama connection and it gets even funnier.

I've come to realize that characters that make me laugh (whether the "Dr. House is a Bastard" kind, or the whole Firefly crew), will draw me into a show. When Valley (Chance) was questioning Helfer's character about the train, and he pretty much agreed to take the job cause he would get to ride on a 200+mph bullet train.. I decided I'll pretty much hang out for a couple of episodes.

Of all the characters, I really like Jackie Earle Haley's Guerrero. I know him as Kelly Leak from the 1976 Bad News Bears, and then as Rorschach in Watchmen (and none of his work in-between). Which doesn't say much since Bad News Bears was, almost literally, a lifetime ago. And I really didn't care much for Watchmen.

But his character is that right mix of ego, sadism, and attitude to make him interesting to watch. I really liked our introduction to the character, with the two thugs in the restaurant, and his abuse of McBride's Winston is entertaining (although their relationship is somewhat reminiscent of Sam and Fiona in Burn Notice)

They've got my attention for now, the question is whether or not I can care enough to remember to watch it.

Caz

ZEEK

I couldn't get past the skeleton key to the internet. I mean really? Come the heck on. It's the most ridiculous plot. Could they at least consult a 10 yearold to find out that their idea has no merit what so ever?

The rest of the show has been underwhelming as well. These guys are too good. They know a little bit about everything and are like 3 steps ahead in every situation. Omniscient characters aren't very interesting IMO.
