Hey all! I'm new to fireflyfans.net, but not a new Firefly fan at all. Anywho, I just got a new rp site on avidgamers set up. Only problem is, nobody I know has seen firefly. If anybody's interested in joining, pop by

It's not the best, but it's the best I've made. And I'm proud of it. So far only 2 characters are taken. New characters are welcome as well as the originals...wouldn't be much without them! Even if you don't want to join, will you check it out and tell me what you think? Give me hints and tips on how to improve?

Before I join, I have a couple questions.

Can I play River?

Can I keep my same screen name, even if I play River?

What sort of writing sample? You can see my writing in the RP thread.

Sorry, I was gone yesterday...

If you apply for River (or any character) that name becomes your login name. Your password will be emailed to you within the next day or so.

As for RP sample. This is on another site entirely. Which is why the screen name changes and such. In the sample RP all you have to do is set your character in a scene, here's an example. This is the sample RP that 'Jayne' sent in:

Jayne ran into the room and look everyone in the eye, "Don't worry. I got Vera." He said confidently before looking down to the floor at the unconcious guy, seeing they already had everything under controll.

And basically it shows weather or not you can put yourself into the character. I'm not going to accept a person that trys to play Jayne as if he were sophisticated, you get what I mean? So if that answers your other question, weather you can play River, it all depends on your sample RP, it's not judged to hard though, because I've found as you continued to play, you get a better feel for the character...

and thanks, I'll try to find an easier color to read.

SHINYZHARIOT

I took a peek. I like what I see. Altho I don't know a thing about RPGs; The Kaylee monologue is dead on. I feel like I'm in the room with her. I think I miss FF too much. Maybe I just need to pop in my DVDs and watch the series again.
