im new to websites and html and all that and could really use some help making a banner for my sites. can anyone help please???

Do you have any knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Flash, Fireworks or Dreamweaver?

Do have you an image already that you are looking to convert into your html file?

Mac or PC?

I tend to use Illustrator or photoshop to create a banner then save for web as either a .GIF or a .JPEG file.

Then using Dreamweaver, you place into the html page the GIF/JPEG image. Does this help?

well.... i have tried to make a pic but it just doesnt look good too me and as for converting to html i dont know how. i want one that coincides with my web shop call Sanguine Ltd something shiny i can be proud of. Also it isnt just firefly but buffy angel and other sci fi stuff but i like the whedon verse to be prominant. so......

Well ok could just be you need to keep messing around with ideas and designs to come to a stage where you're happy with it. Can you send us a link where we can take a look at it? You may just need a gentle nudge in terms of direction that's all.

As for converting it to html, it's not stricky converting so much as preparing it for html. Is it dreamweaver you are using? If it is it's just a question on placing an image into your document. It reads gifs and jpegs. So if you have you image saved as one of these chances are you can just drop them in.

Also what's the basics of your design. Is it type based with just the words "Sanguine" or have you a graphic aswell? What are your ideas for imagery?
