After the signal:

After the signal is a post Serenity roleplaying game set 1 year after the events on Mr. Universe's world. Yet we've altered things a bit tomake the captain happy.Cuz...well we don't want him shooting us. Washmanaged to survivethe reaver attack and it took him a mighty long
time to heal but heal he did. So he is piloting serenity again.

Now as far as the rest of the ragtag bunch,well...River seems to be
on the mend. She's been learning from Wash on how to Pilot Serenity and doin' a mighty fine job at it. Of course you know that since
she's on the mend that's been freein' up the doc to do his own thing and pursue his wants and needs,which at the moment and still,happen
to be Kaylee. Sweet little thing that is. As far as Jayne....well,Jayne still be jayne and we love him for it. Then there is Zoe and Wash,can't tell ya how happy Zoe has been knowin' Wash survived. She smiles a lot more these days but still yes sirrin the
captain.

Oh..seems I am forgettin' someone. Inara.Well things didn't work out so well there. She stayed on me for as long as she could but found,like before,she couldn't work and the captain didn't seem to be making any moves,so she left us. We dropped her back off on that planet,Soonal. Took her back to her girls. Cried that day we did but
noone knew it but me. Yet now...something seems to be happening,waves over the cortex. Signals being sent...trouble a brewin. And us...smack dab in the middle of it. Wanna join?

Serenity....

This is a post serenity rpg,set one year after the end of the movie.

As serenity has said things are a might different and we are looking for crew to join our happy little mixed up verse. All we ask is that you are over 18 and can give us an writing sample of the character you want to write.

Currently the only character we need is Wash. At this point and time we are not accepting any characters to join Serenity. We are also looking for bad guys to muck up the workin's on Serenity and her crew.

PUMAMANREDUX

The following was written up for an online rpg I was thinking of running

I think the chararacter was sposed to be a cook / gunhand .. not sure *L*

I throw it up here in case some day its useful in a future online Firefly RPG or one run by the fans here at fireflyfans

A man in his mid to late twenties walked into the well-lit barroom in the center of town. He was dressed in freshly laundered clothing, stereotypical brown western duster and boots. He took off his sunglasses and pocketed them. The man reflected that this place was a novelty to one of the bouncers. The attempt at humor was lost on the guy.

His eyes scanned the tables for his contact after noting where the rougher crowd was sitting. He paused to watch a card game for a few moments. He was almost certain something odd was going on, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. He noted where the card players had their weapons and moved on.

He slowly made his way over a table where a blonde in her mid twenties sat. She was dressed in a floral dress and was sitting in between two burly gents. She noted the man’s approach and pushed the sun hat she wore up to forehead.

The man in the duster placed a saddlebag on the table. One of the burly gents opened the bag, checked the contents and then closed the bag. The man nodded at the woman. The woman placed an identical looking saddle bag on the table.

The man in the duster eyed the bag and spoke “I trust I don’t have to count that”

The woman smiled “Dear brother, what sort of businesswoman would I be if I didn’t pay for services rendered?”

The man in the duster hefted the bag and smiled “Pleasure working for you, ma’am”

“Knock off the ma’am crap, Colin” The woman retorted.

“Very well, Alexandra” Colin smiled, knowing the woman preferred to be called Alex.

Alex refused to take the bait “So where is your dear Captain?”

Colin rolled his eyes “Doing quote ‘a mess ‘o spring cleaning on the [ship]’“

Alex figured it meant cleaning the ship as well as dealing with personnel “Give my regards to the Captain. And do send waves more often”

Colin smiled slightly “I will and I’ll try.” He turned on his heel and slowly made his way to the front door. A waitress placed a heavy drink tray down on a table nearby and wiped her brow.

Colin paused at the card table he was watching earlier and watched the game again. A drunken player suddenly jumped up then glared at one of the other men at the table and addressed him “You bloody cheater”

The other man calmly spoke “I did nothing of the sort”. Colin took the whole scene in

The drunk kept on accusing his tablemate of cheating at cards and then drew a gun. The Bar patrons started to take cover. The accused cheater stood and drew his own gun “Look, good sir this is not the best idea. This is a crowded establishment.”

The waitress delivered the drinks on her tray leaving the tray on the table. Colin picked up and then looked idly at the carvings on the tray. Colin sighed and thought about not getting involved in the dispute.

“Excuse me, gents” Colin interjected as he sauntered over to a spot between the drunk and the other man “The answer is clear. The true cheat is ….” He brandished the tray under the nose of the suspected card cheat. The man backed up and brought up his hands to try and defend himself. Luckily for everyone the drunk had forgotten about his firearm.

Suddenly Colin moved and used the tray to aid in forcing a third man to a sitting position on the floor. The third man started to sputter as Colin pulled up the man’s sleeves and exposed a card holding widget.

It took a few seconds for Alex and her employees to mobilize and sort things out in her bar. Colin put the tray down, slipped the bewildered barmaid some currency and exited stage left

Colin chuckled put on his sunglasses and started to make his way back to the [ship]

Thanks but currently I only need Wash to be played for the game. If you think you want to play that character in a game,I can direct you to another game that has openings,but not sure how you feel about an all oc cast? None of Serenity's crew is played there.
