So, I'm reading yet another article about the unexpected rise of Ron Paul's political capital.

The article describes him as someone who was written off early by mainstream party executives. His message, they assumed, was too fringe, too intellectual. Yet despite the best efforts of Fox to push him aside in the debates, giving him as little airtime as possible, and despite the disinterest of the usual Fox audience, Ron Paul's message rang true. People who pay attention, people on the internet, heard the message and repeated it, endlessly it would seem ...

Anyway, the article went on, but I noticed something interesting as I read. Try this. In the above paragraph (or most any that you read about Dr. Paul) replace all references to RP with references to Firefly. Replace 'mainstream party' with 'network', 'debates' with 'fall schedule' and, well you don't even need to replace Fox... -- Sounds awfully familiar eh?

Will Ron Paul's campaign suffer the same fate as the series? Probably. Yet... we're still here. :)

Anything to do with FoxNoise scares me. It is really normal behavior for Fox to snuff out any voice that does not go along with their agenda of scaring Americans into conformaty.

I also have to same to CNN and MSNBC about the democratic candicates that are not Hillary and Obmama.

Good observation.

Well, the media does have a 'vested interest' in their 'vested interest'. Did you notice a marked uptick in their patience with Ron Paul shortly after he announced his fund raising successes?

I'm thinkin', despite those purplebellies trying to take him down, he will rise again.

Now if some other Browncoats would see the same.

The biggest difference between Ron Paul and Firefly is that Firefly is a fictional TV show and set in the future and Ron Paul is a fictional front runner mired in the past.
