I'll give you a D-minus; you need to work on your punctuation. But thanks for playing...

It's like I said: I'm interested in how you think. As much as we like to think that we're rational, what we think is REALLY based on how we feel. Only rarely does objective knowledge change our fundamental perspective on something.

So for example, I think it's easier to bomb a village from 1000 feet because there are very few thresholds to cross. All you see is a target and all you do is push a button. But beating someone to death??? Well, it's brutal and exhausting. You're right there with the victim, hearing your thuds and their groans, seeing the blood and broken flesh, looking into their eyes. You have to overcome a whole lot more... empathy and your own exhaustion... over and over again, for an extended period of time. Someone who beats a person to death... well, I'm not sure that I'd want to know that person. They've been someplace that I don't think you ever really return from. For want of a better description, I have a higher eeewwwww reaction to some kinds of killing than to others.

sooo, you're saying he knew about the yellow cake before he didn't know about the yellow cake?

Do you have a point, or are you here just to look like an idiot? Joe Wilson was sent to Niger to look into the allegation that Iraq might be trying to procure yellowcake, not whether Iraq already had yellowcake. What's the problem with your understanding here? Niger. Iraq. They don't even start with the same letter!

I'm asking a very simple question, which none of you seem to be able to answer, that being: Did Joe Wilson know about the yellow cake before he didn't know about the yellow cake?
This is a very simple question. It requires the very most simple of answers.
A. yes
B. no
If A. "yes" then the guy is (according to you)
a liar.
If B. "no" then the guy is (according to you) a
complete idiot.
I'll have to say at this point it is very important that you reach down between your legs, grab your ears with both hands and pull hard until your head pops out of your a$$.

"The" yellowcake and "the" yellow cake. There were (potentially) two piles... one that had been in Iraq since whenever and was under IAEA seal. The other was potentially in Niger. WHICH ONE are you asking about? Or are you talking about both? In that case- which one first?

It's not a valid question, because you *assume* that "he didn't know about the yellowcake". So far as I've ever heard, Joe Wilson never once said that Saddam didn't HAVE yellowcake - only that the allegations that he was trying to acquire MORE of it were false, and the reports that the various intel services were bandying about were forgeries, all of which have proven to be correct.

So, if you're asking if Joe Wilson knew that Saddam had EVER had yellowcake, the answer is... maybe? But the way you're asking it, it becomes a loaded question, one in which either answer will "prove" your point.

So let me ask you this question, in the same vein: Yes or no - ONLY yes or no - Do you still beat your wife?

No, it implies that you're done using your brain, and all that it's good for now is spare parts. And it shows.

You're the moron who thinks the worst of US and of our soliders. Jack Murtha all but tried and convicted US Marines over the Haditha incident, and now he's having to eat his words, and getting sued for defamation over it as well. So far, all have been cleared of any ' cold blooded murder ', as Jack claimed. Dick Durbin backtracked on his claims that Gitmo is being run like a 'Soviet Gulag', once he went down there and saw for himself.

You seem to glom onto the false headlines of ' Qu'rans being flushed down toilets', but never read the paper long enough to find the retraction of such stories. Maybe because they're hidden on A-27, in small paragraphs, in small print.

Not at all - I think very highly of our soldiers. I come from a long line of them.

What I *DO* think is that you can't just lump ALL soldiers into one group and say that they're infallible. They're human beings, and every now and again, no matter how hard they try to test for such things and prevent them, you DO get a sociopath in the mix, someone who's fully capable of committing atrocities.

Your "gut reaction" was that it wouldn't be possible for such a thing to occur - that in an American armed force a million strong, there couldn't possibly be one monster in the mix. And that is just a plain delusion on your part.

You seem to have a very dim view of Jack Murtha, a decorated Viet Nam veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Why must you hate our soldiers so? All you've ever done is trash any soldier who speaks out against this President. Why do you continue to put party ahead of Country, and most especially, ahead of the dedication and service of our men and women in uniform? You've trashed John Kerry, you've trashed Wesley Clarke, you've trashed Jack Murtha, and you've denigrated their service to their country, all while claiming that Rumsfeld, Cheney, et al are "great Americans" for never once serving their country. Tell us all, what is it exactly that you hate so much about our soldiers?

You're damn right I have a dim view of Jack Murtha. I hate THAT old soldier for putting politics over all else and bashing the Marines for his party's political expediency. He's done far more than " speak out against the President ", he's lashed out at good American kids who were doing their job. HE's the one who has put Party over country, not I. I trashed Kerry for lying about the exact same thing as Murtha, calling our soldiers 'monsters' when there's nothing what so ever to support his claims.

I've limited my praise on Rumsfeld, and for my own reasons. Cheney ,imo, is a great American and has served, though not in uniform, his country admirably.

I'll say this again so you'll understand. I hate Kerry and Murtha for lying about our soldiers, calling them monsters and accusing them of crimes they have not committed. Murtha is justifiably getting his tired old ass sued over it as well, and I'm glad to see that happen. He's a disgrace for selling our our boys for the game of politics.

Weasel Clark is just a joke. Everyone knows he was a ' me first' kind of soldier, who put the needs of advancing his career ahead of his men, his duty and even his country. Reminds me of the Jon Larroquette character from STRIPES, where he'd bring in some sexy bimbo to look at the top secret weapon, just to impress her and hope he'd get some. Clark is a cartoon.

Nothing? You call newsreel footage "nothing"? Tell me- were you old enough to be aware of what was going on during Vietnam? If you were, surely you heard about the body counts, massacres, wholesale killing by napalm, torture. If not, you should watch Hearts and Minds made of newsreel footage which was too raw to put on the American evening news.

Your "it couldn't possibly happen" denial prevents you from seeing the truth. It did, and it does.
