Scariest part is "the court forbade him from owning a computer". Of course he owns nothing, since his parents own everything he has. He's allowed by the judge to check email, which is what got him in trouble to begin with.

Now the trial will make all Palin's emails an open public record.

Lawyers agree that no crime has been committed in this frivolous prosecution. "Hacking" only applies to computers, and this guy never touched Palin's computer. It's not "wiretapping". No money was stolen. No ID was stolen. No mail fraud.

If a judge DOES order that reading email is a crime, then ATT Comcast Yahoo Hotmail etc can all be arrested for reading every email in USA for NSA.

It's only illegal if govt does it without a court order.

These are the exact same judges in Kville prosecuting me with 6 months prison and $5,000 traffic ticket for driving safely at 45 mph. If I win, all misdemeanor convictions for the past 15 years will be reversed, for failure of the magistrates to get signed waivers of trial by judge, as required by Local Rules of Court. This ticket has been on appeal for 18 months.

These same judges in Kville allowed admittedly forged documents to be used against my wife in her trial against the world's largest ____________ corporation. Even the defense witnesses admitted under oath that the "employee" who signed the "contract" NEVER EXISTED, and the "contract" to agree to arbitration was merely a list of names. The judge was an ex-prosecutor with the corp defense lawyers, and sent the case to arbitration (private trial). The arbitration "judge" demanded a $30,000 cash bribe, er, paycheck, paid by the defense before "trial", as his paycheck for 5 days work. Guess who won the arbitration? We appealed and the 6th Circuit reversed the fed judge's arbitration order. We settled for $250,___, er, an undisclosed amount.

My SS Disability appeal in that Kville court has been going for 11 years, after I won a remand pro se withut a lawyer. That got the SSA ALJ judge fired for corruption.

I also had a class action filed in that court for theft of my car by police and their mafia towing contractors. My lawyer "voluntarily dismissed" that "slam dunk" case, coincidentally after gettign 2 guns put to his head. So I filed criminal charges and got 100 towtruckers fired and banned for 5 years. But never got my cars back.

it did seem funny to me that they dignify this with the term 'hacking'....
because asking yahoo to tell him the password,
only to discover that ALL of her 'security questions' were public information, is really not hacking!

If she had been using her government email then there would have been security and firewalls, but she was using a lame personal free account in yahoo to do Government business.

They have to make a strong example of this mis-guided kid. Invasion of privacy is both a felony in this case, and a wake-up call to all of us that this can happen to anyone, and will if his punishment is minor. Hard prison time is only going to turn him into a gang banger. Rather than that, I'd recognize his skill and ingenuity, and send him off to Afghanistan to assist our military in terrorist communication monitoring projects.
