“That is why Marxism represents a further vital and creative stage in the maturing of man's universal vision. Marxism is simultaneously a victory of the external, active man over the inner, passive man and a victory of reason over belief: it stresses man's capacity to shape his material destiny – finite and defined as man's only reality – and it postulates the absolute capacity of man to truly understand his reality as a point of departure for his active endeavors to shape it. To a greater extent than any previous mode of political thinking, Marxism puts a premium on the systematic and rigorous examination of material reality and on guides to action derived from that examination.”

Absolute Democratic blowout.

And I really wish the hell it ain't, but I know history, and I know backlash, and that's how this shit goes, sadly.

And so, imma need a double extra wide load of sand for the Democrat gearbox, since the extreme lunacy of the GOP, getting crazier and more brutal by the second....

They didn't just shoot themselves in the foot, they filed off the sear of a Saiga and blew off everything below the knees.

One more mess they've left us ADULTS to clean up.

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

I say the Democrats run the table, ending up with 60 Senate seats, a 60% portion of the House, and the presidency.

Wish it weren't so, but that's the way I see it. I'd actually prefer to see a more evenly split (50/50 or even 51/49 Republican) Senate and house, without any "mandate", supermajority, or veto-proof majority. That way, there really DOES need to be some bipartisan support to get a bill through both chambers - and I'd like to see a Democrat in the White House just to help set the tone of the debate and the direction of the country as a whole.

But I really think the backlash is going to be complete, and the Democrats are going to sweep.

The Dems will control, but some of the anti-republican votes will go to 3rd party people. I think we'll have a record number of third party seats.

Well, i kinda hope we will. I'd like for more people to consider off-party as viable candidates.

STORYMARK

How about this: after 8 years of President Fuckwit running the place into the ground, after loosing the popular vote and having his Daddy's friends grant him the electoral win - Obama will have a clear victory in the electoral college, and the popular vote. Realizing that most of the country really is against them, the neo-cons and wingnuts will finally shut the fuck up, let the Dems try and fix some of Dubya's damage, and maybe let some real conservatives drive the Republican party for a while.

I know, probably not....

Frankly I think McCain has at best a 40% chance at winning, while Obama has at worst a 60% chance at winning.

So on Wednesday, the President-Elect will either be that socialist tool Barack Obama...or that socialist tool John McCain.

We're screwed '08!

Win probability is more like 98.1% Obama, 1.9% McCain according to Nate Silver ( http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/).
