The well cap placement is part of what Allen calls a "very complex, nuanced and broad-based response" to the rupture of the underwater well in April, an accident that caused worst environmental disaster in U.S. history.

The test will measure pressure inside the well and will last anywhere from six to 48 hours. It will involve incrementally closing valves on the new cap, a process that would allow BP to do its pressure measurements. Workers completed seismic surveys around the well site earlier Tuesday to see if any hazards exist on the sea floor, Allen said.

Higher pressure readings would mean the leak is being stopped, while lower pressure indications would mean oil is escaping from other parts of the well.

Let's hope there's been no "underground blowout"...

If not, wouldn't it be wonderful if it actually got STOPPED??

There's nothing surprising in my assuming by "lord" you were sniping at Obama...you do it consistently.

As for "you guys", you're definitely not the only one here who misunderstands people responding as them getting all head up, when they're not. And it's generally those of your ilk, the RWAs, who claim they got others' panties twisted, foaming at the mouth, etc., etc., when it's not the case at all. It's like there's some need for drama or something, and your assuming I was actually angry is just another example.

That you see it as being "torqued" is your own drama...and you often don't refer to Obama by name, but instead call him by something that indicated we "adore" him or something--by "we" in that context I mean everyone else on this board, none of which worship him or anything like it.

By "us" I meant the non-RWAs, because it is almost invariably we who are told we've gotten all riled up when we haven't. Some generalities become so obvious after a certain amount of time that they're worth noting in passing.
