Late this afternoon, CNN announced that it had fired anchor Rick Sanchez following controversial comments he made about jews, the media and jew Jon Stewart Liebowitz.

Angry about being replaced by CNN's new "Parker Spitzer" talk show and the constant jokes made at his expense on the "Daily Show," he lashed out on at his perceived enemies — CNN brass, Jon Stewart and Jews.

Later in the program, Sanchez retracted the word "bigot" from his criticism of Stewart. "All right," Sanchez said. "I'll take the word bigot back; I'll say prejudicial, uninformed." But as the conversation continued, Sanchez hammered away at Stewart, and after Dominick noted that, being a Jew, Stewart had a sense of what it was to be an oppressed minority, Sanchez laughed.

"Very powerless people," Sanchez said with a snicker. "He's such a minority, I mean, you know. ... Please, what are you kidding? I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they -- the people in this country who are Jewish -- are an oppressed minority? Yeah."

Sanchez went on to say that Stewarts view is “very much a white, liberal establishment point of view,” and that "He can’t relate to a guy like me. He can’t relate to a guy whose dad worked all his life. He can’t relate to somebody who grew up poor.' Sanchez added that “If we’re gonna call one side bigoted, we probably gotta look at the other side and say the same thing.”

Many prominent Jews have made similar observations as Sanchez in regards to Jewish power in the media. Writing in the LA Times colluminist Joel Stein in an article titled "Who runs Hollywood? C'mon" stated that "I have never been so upset by a poll in my life. Only 22% of Americans now believe "the movie and television industries are pretty much run by Jews," down from nearly 50% in 1964. The Anti-Defamation League, which released the poll results last month, sees in these numbers a victory against stereotyping. Actually, it just shows how dumb America has gotten. Jews totally run Hollywood."

Actor Ben Stein wrote an article titled "Do Jews run Hollywood? You bet they do...and what of it?" were he states "First, it is extremely clear to anyone in Hollywood that Jews are, so to speak, "in charge" in Hollywood in a way that is not duplicated in any other large business, except maybe garments or scrap metal or folding boxes."

I'm against most of Jon Stewart's politics, but I think he's very funny and talented and worth watching. Rick Sanchez was a moron and a clown when he was in South Florida, and no one has watched him much since, at least according to his abysmal Neilsen ratings. That's why he got sacked in favor of the next pathetic CNN show that will bomb too.

It's Jonathan Stuart Liebowitz.

I agree with him about 1/2 the time. I think he's blind to a few things. I disagree on his political slant, but I've become so used to filtering that out that I tend not to even notice it. He does provide insight into the hypocrisy of the media and the beltway, and does so in an entertaining fashion. I guess what I mean to say is that I find myself agreeing with River again.

ps. I think that Stewart takes a few positions to kaotao to the ruling elite so that they will allow him to continue to be a fly in the ointment. His continued demonization of the Iran is one of about half a dozen.

Here's the one thing he actually *doesn't* get and it's starting to irk me: Globalism. He doesn't understand what it is, or who its opponents and proponents are. He jsut did a thing on the protests in europe and tea party protests here, as if they were polar opposites (he does stuff like this a lot.) He also missed that the protesters in Brussels are not all Belgians.

Brussels is the head of the EU, and its opponents are opposing globalism and the NWO. If you want to oppose and empire, you go to the imperial center, in their case Brussels, the head of the EU, the council of europe, NATO, and the Eurozone, really an imperial capital, not an irrelevant location as Stewart seems to think it is.

Likewise, American counterparts would go to Washington, as the did.

Both were protesting deficit manipulation and the attempt to use it to oppress and enslave the populous: The identical issue. And issue that Stewart doesn't understand.

It's just that it's becoming a rather important one, in the way that somewhat eclipses anything else.

Still, I like the show. Lately, I grow weary of his constantly picking on Fox and the Tea Party. Speak truth to Power, not the out of power.
