Perhaps this is a reasonable compromise - how about dealing with rappy on an ad hoc basis? Reasonable posts from him get reasonable replies, while trolling from him gets the blank shut-out. That way you don't trouble your conscience about sliding into troll territory yourself, or perturb your natural placidity and disinclination to conflict. It's not exactly tit for tat, it's more like entering into honest discussion when it's there to be had, and moving on when it isn't.

I want to remind you even AnthonyT gave up on rappy, and they're almost on the same side.

No on here has felt that " thrill " of proving me dishonest. Wrong ? Sure, no one among us is with out flaws or errors. But more often than not, the "wrong " is simply a difference of opinion, and not of fact.

As for "getting attention", all I'm trying to do is respond to comments or questions directed towards me. And usually, it's after I've been attacked, in some form, or my motives questioned. I don't like what this woman says or does, I'm a "misogynist". Or I oppose what Obama does, that makes me a "racist ". That sort of crap. It's those side comments , tacked onto the end of most replies, which send us down the " same old path ".
