Not one who was brought up, from the outside, hating the country, hating capitalism, hating freedom...

Like Obama.

Obama grew up in Hawaii from the age of 10. He was taught US history and ended up being a US Constitutional Professor. He knows more about US history and the Constitution than you do Rappy.

He does love the country, trying to fix things wrong with it.

So .... what's it all about Alfie? Want him disgraced? He's done that by himself. Want him impeached? That would cause race riots and cities burned to the ground. Is he worth that?

Save it for Hillary. That's the election that must be won at any cost and by any means. Big question is, of course, who's gonna be "our" champion. Gimme a name ... one name.

No he wasn't. He was taught mostly HAWAIIAN history, with a smidgen of US history. More likely, he was taught the history of the Pacific nations, like Malaysia, and not so much what our founders endured. And it shows.

He knows less about the US Constitution, and it's forming, than most.

His formative years were spent in Malaysia, and then in Hawaii, where much of the educational focus was on island culture and history, and less to do w/ the mainland. Deny that fact all you want. Obama didn't even set foot on mainland soil until he was 17, when he attended Occidental College, in CA.

Because its about someone's whose life is in pieces through being tortured by the Japanese during the war. And waterboarding was considered by him to be the worst of the tortures.

It was a harrowing film and an interesting contrast to the dispassionate torture scenes in ZDT, a film that I have discussed here before and of which I have been critical.

Also based on a true story, of Eric Lomax http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Lomax

It's possible that Americans know little of the history of the forced labour of the Burma Railway and the 10's thousands, possibly 100's thousands who died labouring there but its well known to Australians.

The Japanese rarely admit to any wrong doing either. I'm sure they can justify their 'interrogations' as well.

I'm sure Haiwains would be interested in Rappy's exclusion of them as Americans? Do you think the same about Alaskans? After all, they're closer to Russia than the mainland of USA.

Are there some other states that you also don't include, or is being 'mainland' enough for you?

Hawaii has its own distinct culture, and if you don't like me saying they spend more time learning about that than what is taught about U.S. history in the rest of the country, then that's a YOU problem.

I know you'd love nothing else but to twist my words and distort the issue away from the facts, but it still does not change them.

If Bush had grown up in Hawaii suddenly it would have been a fine upstanding example of America.
Rappy has a hate-derangement complex. Anything connected with a non-hardline Conservative attitude must be bad. Strangely, he likes Firefly, which (besides Jayne) is anything but. I can only imagine what Rap would say to a Son of his if said Son voted Democrat on his first trip to the ballot box...
"You are a DISGRACE, and certainly no Son of mine. I don't know you. Gather your effects and leave this house. Come back ONLY if you realize the grandness and benevolence of the Conservative Way. The only way."

This needs substantiating, regardless, this is not your initial theory, your theory was that he is what you believe him to be because of his geographic & social upbringing. I proved that a person can evolve independent thinking regardless of their peers or parenting. So you stand in error. Bathed in de nile, as it were. So again, what about Alaska? If someone is from Alaska does that make them less American?

What exactly is your definition of American? Do you have to be raised in a particular ideology and have been educated in a particular way to be considered American enough? Thats what you appear to be on about, he's American but not Americna enough, right?

So far, in order to be considered American enough, someone needs to have been raised on the mainland, not spent significant time out of the country and have parents who espouse right wing philosophy, otherwise they don't qualify.

I guess you need to look at making a few constitutional amendments in order for yout pool of potential presidents to meet your criteria.

I'm sorry, AURAPTOR I remember much of what you say except for the socialist parents and the socialist school, I would add since you are making a list of things that pertain to Obama:

Obama's grandfather fought with Patton. I know it is George C. Scott in the picture you post identifying the post as coming from you, but it is Patton he is portraying in the move role.

It is probably a good bet he would want you to take that picture down if that is the way you feel about his grandson who became President of the United States.
