Barry squirms and lies as he double downs on his ISIL as JV to al Qaeda.

Obama Fumbles ‘JV Team’ Question

President Obama enjoys his sports analogies, so let’s just say that he fumbled when he was asked whether he made a “misjudgment” eight months ago in dismissing the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria as the equivalent of “a jayvee team.”

Obama said he “wasn’t specifically referring” to ISIS when he made the junior varsity reference during an interview with The New Yorker in January. But the magazine article and a transcript of the interview — which Washington Post Fact Checker Glenn Kessler obtained and wrote about earlier this month — shows that Obama was referring to ISIS when he said “ if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant.”

The subject of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) — or the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), as the president refers to it — came up during a Sept. 7 interview on Chuck Todd’s debut as host of NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The context of the article and the reference to the al Qaeda flag “now flying in Falluja” make it clear that ISIS was among the groups that Remnick asked about and was one of the groups that Obama dismissed as “a jayvee team.” In fact, Obama himself makes an indirect reference to ISIS when he talks about Fallujah.

http://www.factcheck.org/2014/09/obama-fumbles-jv-team-question/

And even the Washington Post gave the President's excuse...

So Congress has been back from their FIVE WEEK VACATION for more than a week, and still zero action on The Hill to do anything about ISIS. Why is Congress so afraid of this one?

Obama can launch strikes, but the day that starts, he's on a ticking clock under the War Powers Act, and Congress, for all the bluster and phony concern raised by the GOP, is planning zero votes to authorize any military action or continue any strikes.

Meanwhile, the #2 and #3 guys in ISIS are former generals that the Bush cartel threw out of power in their de-Baath-ification strategy after the 2003 invasion and occupation. Not like disbanding the Iraqi army was ever going to have any blowback, of course. I know, I know - nobody could have seen this coming. Where have I heard that before?

Obama does not need Congressional approval to commence military operations.

Don't blame Bush for events 11 years ago and give a pass at what al-Maliki did 2 years ago.

Obama let al-Baghdadi out of Gitmo, who promptly told the guards " See you in New York " as he left.

Congress has the explicit and exclusive power and authority, according to the Constitution, to declare war, and they also control the purse strings (the federal budget) that pays for such things. You should know this, but apparently you never finished high school.

They "want to do something," but where are the scheduled votes? Show them to me. Hey, I *want to* go to the Moon, but I don't have a schedule drawn up for doing so, nor have I budgeted the money to make it happen. There's an old saying: Want in one hand, and shit in the other, and see which one fills up first. What Congress wants to do means nothing at all; what they vote for is all that matters.

You were saying ?

Quote:

Pirro said that Obama released the current head of ISIS from government custody in 2009. The Defense Department said that the man now known as Baghdadi was released in 2004. The evidence that Baghdadi was still in custody in 2009 appears to be the recollection of an Army colonel who said Baghdadi’s "face is very familiar."

Even if the colonel is right, Baghdadi was not set free; he was handed over to the Iraqis who released him some time later. But more important, the legal contract between the United States and Iraq that guaranteed that the United States would give up custody of virtually every detainee was signed during the Bush administration. It would have required an extraordinary effort to have held on to Baghdadi and there is no evidence that he was on anyone’s radar screen, assuming that he was in custody at all in 2009.

The U.S.-Iraq agreement drove the release of thousands of detainees in 2009, but Obama had nothing to do with that.

We rate the claim False.

What I WANT to hear from the President tonight is that we're working w/ Iraq, the Kurds, G. Britian, France and a host of other nations to deal w/ ISIS in Iraq.

We've tied our hands w/ getting help from Iran and Russia w/ taking out ISIS in Syria.

That's a tricky mess right there, no question about it. 2 years ago, we could have backed FSA, but we kinda hosed ourselves , and didn't.

What I DON'T want to hear is how 'unbelievably small' our efforts will be, and we won't put any boots on the ground, no matter what.

Fact is , we may very well have to, if we're serious about doing this mission right, the first time.

I don't want any whining or finger pointing either, about how this is the last administration's fault, and now he has to clean up W's mess. Obama knew this was part of the job, and once he became President, HE was man in the big chair. Time he started to act like it, and use that position for more than endless rounds of golf and fund raisers.

What most folks here should be reminded of is that these ISIS monsters are real, and blaming W , Cheney or Rumsfeld 24/7 won't change 1 damn thing.

Obama is President now, and this is the reality he's facing. Whining about whose fault it is, Reagan, Bush41, Clinton, W's or Obama himself, doesn't make them any less OUR problem, today.

I trust the Cindy Sheehan , No Blood for Oil types will be out in full force, but they should be ignored. Just as they were when the LAST President were in office.

Obama let him go, not W.

According to a Pentagon assessment at the time, al Baghdadi “would kidnap individuals or entire families, accuse them, pronounce sentence and then publicly execute them.”

However, the Obama administration decided to shut down the Bucca prison camp and hand over its prisoners to the Iraqi government, including Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, in 2009 . The Iraqi government later released him. Al Baghadi boasted to the U.S. soldiers who had held him prisoner, “I’ll see you in New York.”

The notion that anybody coud forsee wich guy sitting in a prizon will be the leader uv a major terrorist organization in 5 yirz iz ludicrous.

Thats wut the eko chamber iz telling its inmates now.

The more you think about it, the more rediculous it gets.

Lets say thats exactly wut sumwun decided to do. 'Lets figure out wich uv theze dark skinned beard growing guyz we rounded up coud bekum a problem for us sum day'.

So they'd do complete background checks, conduct aptitude tests, personality tests, etc. Draw up a total profile for every single prizoner.

The lojikl candidates woud be the smartest, best connected, biggest extended familyz, most loved, most money. If you can determin that they are hard core Islamic and seriously hate America, great! But you cant rely on them NOT being thoze, kuz they coud be smart enuf to hide it.

Now wut? Wut do you do with them?

Another beheading, another round of golf.

Obama marks third ISIS beheading video with round of golf

Joe Newby

Policy & Issues Examiner

September 14, 2014

On Saturday, the Associated Press reported that ISIS militants released a third video showing the beheading of yet another victim. The beheading of British aid worker David Haines was called an "act of pure evil" by British Prime Minister David Cameron. Barack Obama called the beheading of Haines a “barbaric murder” but decided to spend Sunday on the golf course, CBS News' Mark Knoller said on Twitter.

"Pres Obama has arrived at @AndrewsAirForce for a round of golf today," Knoller tweeted. "Sunny and 69°. Forecast high 72°." Time political reporter Zeke Miller said Obama golfed "with Marvin Nicholson, Mike Brush and Joe Paulsen."'

Finally watched Game Change, the Sara Palin movie. If you are a GoP, you shoud hate her alredy, but you will for sure after watching this. If you are a Dem its a comedy. If you are a Sara fan, you will smash the TV.

America loves a winner!

Why would anyone other than Leftist bother w/ that biased propaganda ?

And what the hell does Palin have to do w/ Obama not having a plan for ISIS ? ( Other than telling them what we WON'T do, ala John Kerry, telling the world how unbelievably small our attack would be, IF we ever chose to do one )

I've seen the movie many times. The acting is terrific, and for the most part, I think it's quite fair and flattering to McCain and Palin. It was a hopeless campaign from the start, and it only got more screwed up as time went by. The movie portrays those realities very well.

This is real life, Barry. You wanted this job. Now stop telling us you'll organize a select group of blue ribbon panelists and study the problem, and DO something about it.

Was recently reminded that a year ago Sen Ron Johnson asked, during the debate to fund Syria's various gun-toters (he voted against funding), if it was not true that these forces were becoming more and more radical? Secretary Swiftboat Ketchup stated "No, they are becoming more moderate" and today this group is ISIS.

How many more rounds of golf in the year?

And you have 5 seasons to catch up with....

It's hardly Lost, but it's better than Perfect Strangers.
