So the end is in sight for Obamination, assuming he does not serve a third term. Two more years of golf and modelling bicycle helmets.

Those who voted for him had reasons, apparently.

Some voted for him twice, others only the first time in 2008, others only the second time in 2012.

For reference in the future, could you be so kind as to lay down your rationale here? Please refrain from how you currently view your past support or ballot, but explain how you recall your PoV was at the time of your vote. Preferably, what was your frame of mind regarding Obamination in 2008, 2012, and then perhaps how you view it currently (after separating the prior 2 events).

I ask that this not be a discussion or flamefest. If some want to point out specific items, or ask queries, that seems OK, but lets skip the name-calling for just this thread.

I'd like to hear, in your own words, what was your rationale? Your reasoning? Your excuses, if any? Your hindsight, as of now. (Future hindsights can be addressed in a separate thread in the future) How can you support your views. If you are going to just copy other posts in this thread, or agree with points, please be very specific about what you are referencing, not just blanket "ditto" quotes.

This current time is history in the making. Let us record how things were at this time. If you want to think of it as a time capsule for politics, that seems fair.

Thanks for your time and effort to share.

Considering the abysmal fascist scum you would have preferred, I'ill take Obama, even though I despise him.

You really think Romney, who built his empire on the bones of DEAD CHILDREN, would be superior, even though torturing mere children was the force that financed his empire ?

And that ain't even a partial.
You'd honestly prefer to be a supporter of some scumbag who damned near drank the blood of CHILDREN to further his political ambitions, and all but admit it, even behind a sockpuppet everyone here *KNOWS* is you Auraptor ?

Well, that says a lot about you, you quisling scumbag, but frankly given the situation at hand even as reprehensible as Obama might be, even as reprehensible as he IS....

He's never murdered kids for political power and financial gain.
So where, morally, does that leave YOU, ya fuckin scumbag ?

Thanks for your input. That seems to cover the 2012 election. If you have a differing PoV for 2008, would you care to share?

I voted for him both times, and have no regret.

Sorry rappy.

Yes, you are sorry. We agree on that much.

But you should be apologizing to America not me.

Now I rememberfy.
Liberals are always afraid and embarrassed to be identified as liberals, or to admit they are.
Because conservatives are not (outside media or entertainment, where their careers would suffer due to assaults by libs), I keep forgetting this about liberals.

OK. But here people have some anonimity and yet are fairly transparent about their leanings. Posting in this thread would not be exposing any new info other than the reasoning behind their leanings or acts.

I don't vote for American political leaders, I'm not an American...I don't know maybe he was better than Special Mormon Magical Underwear guy, maybe worse, the other guy didnt get elected.

However election 1, most Americans I met considered McCain to be a horrible person, a stain on US history.

NeoCon McCain was a shitstain.

But Obama wasn't anything different, other than the fact he could charm the pants off of all the stupid people.

Obama was just part of the Bush/Clinton NeoCon/NeoLib machine.

A vote for either Obama or McCain was a vote for just a different flavor of the same shitty ice cream brand.

That's exactly where we're at with Biden* right now.

So you are saying 2008 was a vote against Ultra-Libtard RINO McCain?

And 2012 was another vote against RINO Romney, even though they knew how evil Obamination was?

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Obama v McCain in 2008.

McCain had a history. Obama had no history at all except he voted against the Iraq War. So the first time around it was a bad known v a possibly good unknown.

By 2012 I realized that Obama was just another war-mongering corporate shill who threw money at banks, bailed on public option health care (throwing everyone into the maw of corporate health industry) and his fake-professorial stammer drove me as batshit crazy as GWB's fake aw-shucks down home-isms. Romney was no better, so I threw my vote away on Jill Stein.

BTW voted for Bill the first time too, but threw my vote away on Green party the second time.
