I heard a voice identified as Anderson Cooper on some town hall meeting or something in Milwaukee last night. Not sure if it was available nationwide or not.

He seemed honestly befuddled that his claim that 40-45% of 80% (32-36%) was the same as 80% was corrected, objected to, and explained as untrue. He really acted like the real world was not something he could comprehend. How stupid is he? Even if he is clearly incapable of sandbox mathematics and cerebrally opposed to logic or reason, one would think that, in preparation for a television appearance (as questioner or moderator, whatever) he would at least as somebody who has a clue to give him some cue cards or gauge or cheatsheet to use. Perhaps the claim is true that he really does not even know or is acquainted with a single person who has a clue.

Were I a Libtard, I would be truly embarrassed.

I'm not a big fan of CNN or Anderson Cooper, but I must give credit where credit is due. Out of ALL the Republican debates and forums he was the best moderator and the most in-control professional there has been.

Trump, at 9 minutes into the following video with Anderson Cooper, is asked what are the top three functions of the United States government. The transcript:
http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2016/03/29/full-rush-transcript-dona
ld-trump-cnn-milwaukee-republican-presidential-town-hall
/

Trump had no idea what to say after mentioning national security. He paused a bit and then decided on health care and education———the two subjects that every conservative in the country thinks the federal government should NOT have a role in. So then Trump fumbles around and starts talking about "the concept of the country" that we have to have education. And Common Core has to be "brought to the state level," because apparently Trump has no idea that Common Core has been a state program from the very start.

Then Trump gets to health care. "We need health care for our people," but it should be privately supplied. This, of course, is precisely what Obamacare is: a program that coordinates and regulates health care provided by private suppliers. But Trump doesn't know that either. Donald Trump is galactically, deliberately ignorant.

I heard that Trump also added "and Housing" after Education and Health Care. Had I misheard? Conservatives are really not surprised that he gave the Hilliary and Bernie answer to a core question of the platform. Trump supporters are likely to ignore the gaffe or, as low-information Libtards, they agree with it already.

Elaboration: When he claimed that Cruz would never be able to get 32% of the votes because he had never gotten more than 60% of the vote, and the anti-Trump vote had never gotten higher than 89%, it seemed a really ignorant thing to say.
For those frustrated with sandbox math, the needed 32-36% is easily achievable with the 60-89% already proven.

So, yes, Cruz can win the nomination, and yes, AC is a retard.

You heard correctly. Housing was #4. Great Neighborhoods was #5. Does "Great Neighborhoods" sound more like real estate developer Trump than President Trump? Is Trump mixing up his roles?

COOPER: So in terms of federal government role, you're saying security, but you also say health care and education should be provided by the federal government?

TRUMP: Well, those are two of the things. Yes, sure. I mean, there are obviously many things, housing, providing great neighborhoods...

Trump reminds me of my Grandpa, not the good Grandpa, but the one who tells Muslim jokes on Mom’s patio to his latest wife. Those wives keep getting younger with bigger silicone implants. Grandmother pities those poor girls and Mother thinks her father is in the early stages of dementia. Whatever, he’s embarrassing the family, she says. But he’s always been generous to me. Thanks for the Beamer convertible, Grandfather! You are the best, ever!

The best part of all this is that when the Trump campaign issues a statement cleaning up after their boss, they always insist that nothing has changed.

No, wait: the best part is when John Dickerson asked Trump if he thought abortion was murder and Trump refused to answer. "I do have my opinions on it. I just don't think it's an appropriate forum." Really? Face the Nation is not an appropriate forum for discussing one of the key political issues of our time? What is?

Inside the Trump machine: the bizarre psychology of America’s newest political movement
Quote:

To find answers to these questions, I decided to become part of Trump’s audience, not just its observer. For three days in mid-March, I buried my reporter credentials in my bag and lost myself in the throngs of Trump supporters at rallies in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Youngstown. What I experienced astonished me. I’m far from being a Trump supporter; in fact I object to most of his views. But as I shuffled out of a Youngstown aircraft hangar, I became aware of the unsettling but very real possibility that, in the thrill of the moment, I’d been chanting along with the Trump crowd. (I don’t think I did, but I can’t be sure). Indeed, it felt like I had just taken part in an epic psychological experiment.

When I first read your title, I was downcast because I thought you were attacking air conditioning- that marvel of modern inventions that refrigerates your house while blowing up your electricity bill and causing more carbon dioxide to be spewed into the air. "Yes", I thought sadly and with guilt "Air conditioning is retarded".

Was I relieved to find out you were talking about Anderson Cooper!

Yes, he's an embarrassment to liberal media everywhere, but then, so are MOST reporters - whether liberal or right wing.

I took a real set against him when he was reporting from Fukushima. If he had been a REAL reporter - yanno, finding out the truth instead of passing along government pablum - he would have been telling people to get the hell out of the area. Instead, he took the mainstream "expert" advice (advice which reflected the in-bed-with-industry-government and nuclear industries' interests). By the way, everything that CNN's tame expert said about Fukushima was 100% fabrication.

Unfortunately, Cooper is no better than - and no worse than- MOST reporters of both sides, who are [fabricating -delete] relaying the news most of the time.

Perhaps somebody could explain again to Retard AC that America is not, and never has been a Democracy. Presidents are elected by the Electoral College. Candidates to be placed on the ballot are nominated by their parties, which are provate concerns, not part of the governement. These parties (currently Democrats and Republicans are most popular) make their own rules, not only time-honored rules of their choosing, but also specific rules each individual election cycle, effective during the events surrounding their nominating convention. The current top 2 parties have loosely modeled their nominations procedures and delegate selection on the government-controlled Electoral College system, but are by no means held to any government standard. In most States, voters piggyback a Primary on another election cycle specified by that State, and are voting for a selection of delegates. These are State operations, and if the voters of a specific state do not like the way things are done IN THEIR OWN STATE, then they should do something to change the way Primaries are DONE IN THEIR OWN STATE. The candidates merely need to follow the procedures which each individual State Party has set forth.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

The candidates merely need to follow the procedures which each individual State Party has set forth.

But each state has to abide by national party rules, or they get punished. For example, during the 2008 election cycle Florida and Michigan ran early, unapproved primaries and they lost delegates to the convention as a result.

And then the parties get to run their own conventions during which their candidates are chosen, and those conventions are NOT bound by any state rules, or federal laws - they're answerable only to the respective party ruling committees.

The parties get to say how things go. They're answerable only to themselves. Though if they're smart they'll keep an ear to their constituents. I don't think Debbie is smart.

Yes, the party subset for each individual State must abide the rules of the whole party, or at least get permission and authorization from the national level of the party, which Florida and Michigan refused to do.

Yes, private groups are not controlled by the government - which is the hallmark of American Freedom, Free Enterprise, Free Market. And private groups are allowed to hold their own conventions - because they are free to assemble. And private groups are answerable to the rules of the private group.
This does not sound too confusing.

Who is Debbie?
If they are smart they will nominate the next President.
If they are not smart, they will nominate another Ford/Dole/McCain/Romney and continue their excellence at failure. Another example of Free Market - you choose to prosper or fail.
