If The Donald is annointed the candidate, will John Kasich be known as the helper that Trump could not have done without?
If Trump is not elected, will the GOP be able to recover?
Regardless of which other party takes the reins, will Kasich be remembered as the person who chose ego over party viability?

An 148 year era of power from 1860-2008 might be all that remains, unless counting up til now when Kasich torpedoed it, for 156 years.

Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

Amusing analysis.

The Donald is merely proving right what liberals have said about the Republican party and its base, for many years. It's first and foremost the party of angry white-identity politics. If anyone should be hailed as the destroyer of the GOP it's Obama - for having brown skin and winning two terms as President.

His collusion compact with Trump required him to split the anti-Trump vote as long as there was another candidate. Once Cruz bowed out, Kasich served no further purpose towards destroying the GOP.

The Donald will be remembered as the one who destroyed the party. He's a joke. The Koch's little tea party experiment didn't work like they thought it would. Republicans are basically mindless sheep, and there are fewer and fewer of them.

Billionaire, model for a wife, and still a pathetic loser.

Kasich will be forgotten.

The deth uv the party began wen Bush jr. took offis.

If you want to put the blame on 1 guy there are dozenz uv better choisez than Kasich.

Top uv the list:

George W. Bush
Glen Beck
Sara Palin
Mitch McConnel
John Boehner
Roger Ailes
Bill O'Rielly
Karl Rove

Either thru making the idiots uv America BELEIV that stoopidity and ignorans are virtuez or by being more loyal to the Republican party than America, they did far more to ruin the party than any uv the current candidates.

Well, at least you got part of the list right.
Amazing that you could see that from your world, although I truly expect your visual acuity is not what you think it is.

WOW! That's a great job discussing the topic with facts and logic! /snark

If Cruz resumes his campaign, will Kasich need to also jump back in?
Or was this Cruz' way of faking out Kasich, exposing his Trump-assisting purpose?

You know who destroyed the GOP? Its followers. Idiots like Aurapturd and Jool here, worthless pukes who've never contributed anything to the world, and never will. Plow them under and let their bones fertilize a fresh, better world without them or their kind in it.

Sounds like you have been unable to follow news coverage of the race, or you were unable to comprehend it.
Kasich helped divide the Anti-Trump vote so that Trump could get the higher third of the vote percentage over the divided Anti-Trump vote, even though in most cases the Anti-Trump vote was far more than the Trump vote, so with only one challenger, Trump would have lost each race.

The period between Rubio dropping out and Indiana was less fruitful.
In WI, Cruz got 48% and Kasich 14%. Without Kasich, Cruz would have went over 50% and won the 6 delegates which went to Trump.
In NY, the 5 delegates that went to Kasich could have gone to Cruz.
In RI, the 5 delegates that went to Kasich would have gone to Cruz.
In PA, the 4 delegates that went to Kasich could have gone to Cruz.

Therefore, instead of the delegates for Trump of 265, and 126 for Cruz (margin of 139 for Trump) and 14 for Kasich, it would have been 259 for Trump and 146 for Cruz - for a margin of 113 for Trump, in a Northeast region where Trump's backyard should have given him overwhelming margin instead of merely 70% of the take, and such a region was the hardest stretch for Cruz' campaign. Without Kasich helping Trump, there still would have been a path for Cruz to win.

Do I need to make it simpler for you?

There was *NEVER* a path for Cruz to win.

What are you, like one of the three people in this country who actually like this piece of shit?

Trump won with the highest recorded number of primary votes of any Republican candidate in history.

He's exactly the piece of shit you pieces of shit want, voted for, and deserve. I hope you fucking choke on his cock and die, because that's what the fuck you get for being a fascist swine.

Simple but the true explanation for why your favorite Republican lost to Trump is that working class Republicans did not vote in the primary.

Counterintuitive fact about Trump’s voters: As compared with most Americans, Trump’s voters are better off. The median household income of a Trump voter so far in the primaries is about $72,000, based on estimates derived from exit polls and Census Bureau data. It is $91,000 for Kasich voters.

Your guy lost, not because of Kasich, but because the working class Republicans did not like your guy and would not vote for him. They didn’t vote for anybody! They simply stayed home and watched on TV while your favorite candidate got massacred by Trump and Kasich and their wealthier voters.

You could claim that the Silent Majority would have voted for your favorite if only Kasich had not “discouraged” them from voting, but do you find that believable? What discouraged them from voting for your very popular candidate or any candidate?
