Markets up over 35% since Trump elected! Strong wage growth continues, with the lowest unemployment rate in decades, especially for minorities.

But the desperate Dem candidates keep saying they're gonna "fix" the economy. Hilarious!!!!!!!

"And if I'm elected I'll raise everyone's taxes. Bernie and Cory agree with me on this. In no time we'll have the economy back to where Obama had it! Oh … wait … what? Jeesh almighty!"

Democrats aren't the answer for sure, but Trump and Republicans are lying about how great the economy is for the average working class person just like the Democrats would be if they were running the show now.

Boomers that set themselves up right don't notice how bad things are. Neither do people who managed to stay employed at good jobs through the last 12 or so years.

Most other folk have been screwed in the rear and continue to be, despite whatever crazy numbers the DOW is seeing. Especially those of us without college degrees.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

It sounds like you think it would be better for all Americans if the Dow was not performing well. And it would be easier for all Americans to make some money if the Markets were performing poorly.
While you are at it, let us know how well it works when you try to find a job and get hired from every poor or homeless person you run across. Never ask for a job from somebody with enough money to hire you.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

I remember a similar time when the economy was booming, in 2007. All was fine, until it wasn't. The problem back then was that people weren't looking (intentionally blinded themselves to) negative fundamentals that weren't so rosy - such as the fact that the shiniest economic area was the housing bubble, fueled by bad mortgages and widespread, unsupportable debt, along with risky investment bank products and too big to fail institutions.

For many of the positive factors you list, I have a 'yes-but' negative.

I don't have the time to go through them now, but with any luck, I can get back to this later for a more detailed discussion.

One of the 7 key factors regarding outlook of the markets is Investor Sentiment. It is a negative factor.

Meaning that when Investor Sentiment is High, looking to a Bull Market, then the Market is really Bearish. Likewise, when Investor Sentiment is Bearish, expecting a drop in the markets, the Markets are actually going Bull Market.

This is not the only factor, but I have found it to be quite telling in the past 30 years since I understood this.

Another way of thinking about this particular aspect is that the Sentiment Cycle Leads or Lags the Real World Markets.

The Biggest "But" may be the upcoming October, beginning of the FY2020 - which is the first FY Budget that the Whacko Dem House has created.
A repeat of October 2007, When the Rock-The-Vote Recession kicked off following the Rock-The-Vote Election of 2006. I can hope it won't happen, and Trump seems to keep distracting folk from the Dem Evils, but it remains in the back of my mind.

10. 26,828 3 October

This was from last Friday. After posting this, I heard a MSM Fake News report about the Markets.

MSM reported the Dow was down for the week.
After garnering the 6th highest Dow Close in the entire history, MSM reported that the Dow was down.

At the end of a week where every single day of the week had a Close in the top 6 Closes in history, MSM reports that the Dow was down.

In a month when every single Close of the month is in the top 25 Closes in the entire history, MSM reports it is down. I don't recall any other time in history when this could be said. Even October 2007 was not this spectacular. Even January 2018 was not. Nor September or October 2018. Certainly no time in 2000 or 2001. When the most spectacular High points in all of history are achieved, MSM reports that it is down.

At the end of a week which featured the 2 highest Closes in the entire history, MSM's take is that the Dow was down.

Now, of course, the report was factually accurate - the Down Closed on Friday lower than it closed on the prior Friday.

But how can any sensible, reasonable, critical thinking person possibly conjure that MSM has a clue about the Real World, or is not intentionally lying all the time, or that it is a valid source of information?

To be fair, the housing market bubble crash spurred on the Wall Street crash in the late 2000s.

But the numbers now are ridiculous, especially since it hasn't "trickled down" to the working class one single bit since they've rocketed to such crazy heights.

The rich keep getting richer.

Dow closed yesterday at 26,202.

Dow closed today at 26,252.

Almost seems volatile lately. But Trump has grown the size so much that even 1% up and then 1% down are hundreds of dollars of value now.
I used to not post much when it was fairly stabilized, small changes mostly. But I hear MSM reports sounding like these small fluctuations are the end of the world. Which has spurred me to post just how small the changes are. Less than 6% drop in Close since the latest Record All-Time High.

Dow closed today at 26,362.

With all of the minor volatility lately, even all of these up and down by about 1% from day to day, could make for easy gains for those who are trading right. But hard to predict.

This past week intraday trading popped above 27K on Tuesday and Friday, but every day the Close was below 27K.

For those not paying attention, tomorrow is the end of FY2019, and then begins FY 2020. This is the first Federal Budget that the TDS 2018 Democraps had to craft.

The last time such a thing happened was 2007, when the markets peaked in October and then collapsed, as a result of the Rock-The-Vote Election in 2006.

So it is possible markets might tumble from the Budget effects.
The difference is that in 2006 Bush43 was in his 2nd Term, and in 2018 Trump is in his 1st Term.
