Apparently this has been in place for a few weeks already.

Quote:

Mueller Impanels Grand Jury In Russia Probe, Donald Trump Jr. Subpoenaed

Stocks slumped, and VIX spiked following news that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has impaneled a grand jury in Washington to investigate Russia’s interference in the 2016 elections, the WSJ reports, adding that "this is a sign that his inquiry is growing in intensity and entering a new phase." The grand jury is said to have begun work in recent weeks, suggesting Mueller's inquiry is ramping up and "that it will likely continue for months."

Some details: "grand juries are powerful investigative tools that allow prosecutors to subpoena documents, put witnesses under oath and seek indictments, if there is evidence of a crime. Legal experts said that the decision by Mr. Mueller to impanel a grand jury suggests he believes he will need to subpoena records and take testimony from witnesses."

There’s a move afoot in the Senate to prevent Trump from firing Robert Mueller, the special prosecutor investigating his campaign connections with Russia:

On Thursday, Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Chris Coons (D-DE), two members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, announced they would introduce a bill to allow Justice Department special counsels, like Mueller, to challenge their removals in court. . . The decision is a preemptive attempt to curtail the president, who has publicly criticized Mueller and derided the Russia investigation.

You didn't use the terms "leaked" regarding SECRET Grand Jury - which is required to be SECRET, and "leaked" regarding SECRET Subpoena for the SECRET Grand Jury - which Subpoenas are required to be SECRET.

Which would be why we didn't know about it weeks ago, while leaks had not penetrated the SECRET.

Oversight?

If anyone actually believes that after a year + of wire taps, eaves dropping, leaks and out right lying by the Deep state that we haven't had 1 iota of evidence showing Trump worked with and had any foreknowledge of the Russians some how tampering with - not the Democrats and their corruption - but the ACTUAL election, we'd have heard SOMETHING by now, then by all means, kill yourself now.

I don't want to share this planet with idiots of such magnitude.

There are two parts or phases to this; one is preemptive and the second is post removal. They really wanted to cover all bases on the possible dismissal of Mueller by Trump. Although the removal of Mueller is basically in the hands of the AG.

Apparently, according to NPR, the fact of the grand jury is not a secret. The people impaneled are not supposed to reveal the evidence that they heard, But anyone who has testified can talk to the press about it, so only some people are required to keep the proceeding secret. It sounds kinda weird, but that's what I heard.

I think I get the gist of what you're saying, but the syntax is confounding me.
The gist seems irrefutable but the current form seems unquotable.

SGG

It seems SGG is continuing to say a few things here.
People of SGG's character standard should only obey the Law when they get caught, or when they think somebody is watching.
Democraps or Libtards have no character, ethics, or standards, and therefore should continue to violate Federal Law no matter how clearly spelled out it is for them, and merely wait for somebody to remove them or slap their wrist.

The wording of NPR sounds fishy, like they are the leakers.
The existence of a Grand Jury is likely not secret - Grand Juries exist probably all the time. The work that the Grand Jury does IS secret - mening the subject or target of the Grand Jury. So when "A Grand Jury" switches to "Grand Jury investigating Trump and Russia but avoiding Hilliary and Clinton Crime Family Foundation and FusionGPS, et al" then the secret status has been violated.
Did NPR say the contents of the Subpoena can be discussed, shared, copied, revealed PRIOR to testimony?

This is what I heard as well. Grand Jury is instructed to keep it under their hat (they can be charged otherwise).

I served many years ago, for the state, and their instructions were clear.
But it makes sense that there will be "leakers" who are willing to talk and get their story out. Sometimes they sell their individual stories, there are different motivations. Some attorneys advise their clients to spill their guts so as to have the upper hand in a case.

Yet there remains little dispute that these are felony violations. Correct?
