Trump strikes again. And Again! Trump trolled Canada. He trolled Germany, too. It was delicious. If the Prime Minister and the Chancellor want Trump to stop trolling them, they need to tell Trump to call back when he can talk like one serious adult to another. Then they need to hangup the phone on Trump the Troll. The trolling is detailed at

Trump complains about traveling to Canada ahead of Singapore summit with Kim

President Trump is planning to fly to Canada on Friday. He is not exactly happy about it.

The president has vented privately about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as their trade tensions have spilled into public view. He has mused about finding new ways to punish the United States’ northern neighbor in recent days, frustrated with the country’s retaliatory trade moves.

And Trump has complained to aides about spending two days in Canada for a summit of world leaders, believing the trip is a distraction from his upcoming Singapore summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, according to three people familiar with Trump’s views.

OF COURSE YOU CAN! Who says that anything that MSNBC posts has anything to do with reality??

Here's part of the article that you linked.

Quote:

President Trump is planning to fly to Canada on Friday. He is not exactly happy about it.
Says who?

Quote:

The president has vented privately
Well! This leak of info that was supposedly "private" would definitely pinpoint WHERE the leak came from, wouldn't it? So either is was a self-destructive leak, or it didn't happen at all. Either not so "private" after all, or didn't even happen.

Quote:

To whom?

Quote:

about finding new ways to punish the United States’ northern neighbor in recent days, frustrated with the country’s retaliatory trade moves.

And Trump has complained to aides

Who are going to slit their wrists by passing these tidbits along to the press??
Quote:

about spending two days in Canada for a summit of world leaders, believing the trip is a distraction from his upcoming Singapore summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, according to three people familiar with Trump’s views.
Uh huh.

Quote:

In particular, the president said Tuesday to several advisers that he fears attending the Group of Seven summit in rural Charlevoix, Quebec, may not be a good use of his time because he is diametrically opposed on many key issues with his counterparts — and does not want to be lectured by them.
Well, THAT sounds logical.

Quote:

Additionally, Trump has griped periodically
To whom?
Quote:

both about German Chancellor Angela Merkel — largely because they disagree on many issues and have had an uneasy rapport — as well as British Prime Minister Theresa May, whom he sees as too politically correct, advisers say.

Personally, I think this may actually be a leak FROM Team Trump to stake out a position before the meeting in Canada. But who knows? I may be wrong, but I sure don't want to waste my time parsing bullshit stories from MSNBC.

U.S. Congress has few options to stop Trump from saving China’s ZTE

Reuters) — There is little Congress can do to stop President Donald Trump if he wants to relax penalties on ZTE, despite strong bipartisan opposition to easing restrictions on China’s No. 2 telecommunications equipment maker.
ZTE ceased major operations since the seven-year ban was imposed on the company in April for breaking a 2017 agreement reached after it was caught illegally shipping goods to Iran and North Korea. But ZTE has signed an agreement in principle with the Commerce Department to lift the ban, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
Members of Congress, including Trump’s fellow Republicans as well as Democrats, have sought to rein in ZTE, which they see as a threat to national security whose products could contribute to the theft of intellectual property.

“Their technology is a national security threat, according to our defence and law enforcement authorities. Why on earth is the Trump administration considering relaxing penalties on such a bad actor?” Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said on Wednesday as he opened the day’s legislative session.

Lawmakers have included some restrictions on ZTE – such as a ban on the military’s use of its products – as amendments to major legislation such as the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, now making their way through Congress.
But those limited restrictions would not keep Trump from relaxing the restrictions if he were determined to do so.

Trump personally approved trolling the Supreme Court:

Trump believes Obamacare’s preexisting conditions protections are unconstitutional. Insurers could once again deny people coverage based on their medical history. Many legal scholars have long thought Trump’s lawsuit, first filed in February, is spurious and that higher courts — up to and including the Supreme Court — would not take it seriously. Several career federal lawyers withdrew from the case shortly before the latest brief was filed on Thursday. That is highly unusual and suggests the attorneys thought Trump’s arguments were "meritless", which is a fancy word for trollish. You take your name off a brief because you believe the arguments being made are not good-faith arguments.

1kiki, I am also amused by Trump's "dealmaking" skills:

So far, Kim Jong Un has gotten a summit that treated him as an equal on the world stage. He’s gotten an end to US-ROK military exercises. He’s gotten the United States to ignore his appalling human rights record. And he’s gotten lots of new leverage in his relationship with China.

Donald Trump has gotten nothing. Actually, that’s not quite right. He’s gotten less than North Korea has promised other presidents in previous negotiations. There was only the vaguest gesture toward ending its nuclear program. There was no promise of a testing moratorium. There was no promise of a development moratorium. There was no mention of “tangible” or “irreversible” or “permanent,” all of which had been previous US demands.

This whole thing looks like the same kind of train wreck dealmaking that produced the Trump Plaza Hotel. God help us when Trump finally figures out what really happened. When he realizes what he has done, it will be die laughing funny.

Trump and certain dogs are like this – tear to shreds any papers. So funny for the president to be a troll.

The president's unofficial 'filing system' involves tearing up documents into pieces, even when they're supposed to be preserved.

One person familiar with how Trump operates in the Oval Office said he would rip up “anything that happened to be on his desk that he was done with.” Some aides advised him to stop, but the habit proved difficult to break.

Instead, they chose to clean it up for him, in order to make sure that the president wasn’t violating the law.

Staffers had the fragments of paper collected from the Oval Office as well as the private residence and send it over to records management across the street from the White House for Lartey and his colleagues to reassemble.

“We got Scotch tape, the clear kind,” Lartey recalled in an interview. “You found pieces and taped them back together and then you gave it back to the supervisor.” The restored papers would then be sent to the National Archives to be properly filed away.

Lartey said the papers he received included newspaper clips on which Trump had scribbled notes, or circled words; invitations; and letters from constituents or lawmakers on the Hill, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

“I had a letter from Schumer — he tore it up,” he said. “It was the craziest thing ever. He ripped papers into tiny pieces.”

Lartey did not work alone. He said his entire department was dedicated to the task of taping paper back together in the opening months of the Trump administration.

One of his colleagues, Reginald Young Jr., who worked as a senior records management analyst, said that during over two decades of government service, he had never been asked to do such a thing.

“We had to endure this under the Trump administration,” Young said. “I’m looking at my director, and saying, ‘Are you guys serious?’ We’re making more than $60,000 a year, we need to be doing far more important things than this. It felt like the lowest form of work you can take on without having to empty the trash cans.”

Trump’s response? He fired the people that keep records. They were stripped of their badges with no explanation and marched off of the White House grounds by Secret Service. Trump is a troll.

Among those who have professed objections is the president himself, who despite his tough rhetoric on immigration and his clear directive to show no mercy in enforcing the law, has searched publicly for someone else to blame for dividing families. He has falsely claimed that Democrats are responsible for the practice.

Trump to Attorney General Jeff Sessions: Stop Mueller probe 'right now'

Trump calls on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end Robert Mueller's Russia probe immediately, escalating his attacks on the inquiry.

FBI pushes back against Trump’s latest anti-Clinton theory

It’s worth emphasizing for context that the original report was published by a far-right website called the Daily Caller, and the claims were amplified by Fox News yesterday afternoon.

It was just last month, for example, that Justice Department prosecutors debunked the president’s bizarre conspiracy theory about Imran Awan, who worked as an I.T. aide for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.). Prosecutors explained in July that they completed “a thorough investigation” into the far-right theories, which the president believed, and found no evidence to support them.

Last September, the Justice Department also confirmed in a court filing that Trump’s conspiracy theory about Barack Obama wiretapping Trump Tower phones was baseless.

It’s one thing when Trump’s outlandish theories are discredited, it’s something else when it’s Trump administration officials doing the debunking.

Trump vs. Trump
www.nytimes.com/2018/09/04/opinion/trump-obama-midterms-kavanaugh-supr
eme-court.html

Douthat: My general take on this election is that it’s really Trump vs. Trump. By which I mean, whether the Democrats can turn their advantage into a rout will depend on something beyond their control — the president’s own conduct in September and October, which could be worth a few extra points to Democrats if it’s manic and authoritarian and kooky, and a few extra points to Republicans if it’s (relatively) restrained. What do you think of that framing?

Bruni: Will Trump’s conduct be a central factor? Yes, yes and yes. A few weeks ago, I talked extensively on background with a prominent Republican strategist who’s involved in the party’s efforts this fall, and he made the point that the party can find the right messaging, get all of its candidates in line, deploy the right amount of money to the right races — all of that — and then be utterly foiled by a presidential temper tantrum in the final week. The strategist noted that there’s one person in the party who can never, ever be expected to swallow his pride, suppress his emotions and follow a prudent script, and that’s the party’s leader, one Donald J. Trump.

Douthat: I wouldn’t say “never, ever,” since I can’t always decide how much self-control the president possesses. Watching most of his campaign, and watching the early, manic, “Hey, maybe I’ll just fire Comey” phase of his presidency, I decided that he simply couldn’t master himself sufficiently to execute the job of president. (Hence my interest in 25th Amendment options.)

But there are enough lines he hasn’t crossed since then (even if he’s rubbed them out or kicked sand across them) to make me think that there must be some self-control lurking beneath the carapace, some ability to pull on the reins before the horse goes completely off the cliff. Even in the 2016 race, where time and again (the Judge Curiel business, the Alicia Machado business — even the “Ted Cruz’s dad killed J.F.K.” business around the time he clinched the nomination) he seemed unable to restrain himself from total folly, he did manage to avoid terrible blowups in those last two weeks before the election. And without that restraint he probably wouldn’t be president.

Bruni: I’ll grant you that he has fleeting episodes of uncharacteristic calm. Maybe he just gets tired. He’s no spring chicken and he exercises too little: Golf isn’t all that aerobic.

Douthat: I’m just saying I would not be completely surprised if Trump’s Twitter feed goes dark and his swirling madness abates, conveniently enough for his party’s chances, on Oct. 15 or so.

Bruni: But please note that I said that he can never, ever “be expected” — and that’s the key. No one can plan on him. No one can count on him, in part because his self-consumption is too mammoth to allow discipline in the service of a group cause.

Fox News and Trump Reboot a Fearmongering TV Drama From 2014

This has been the year of the TV remake: reboots of “Charmed” and “Magnum P.I.,” revivals of “Murphy Brown” and “Roseanne.” So maybe it should not be surprising to find Fox News remaking a hit from 2014: “Terror at the Border,” with a significant role for one Donald J. Trump.

HONDURAN MIGRANTS PAINT SWASTIKA ON AMERICAN FLAG, SET IT ON FIRE

Did Members of the Migrant Caravan Paint a Swastika on an American Flag and Set It on Fire?

A photograph of protesters in the Honduran capital setting fire to a U.S. flag inflamed some Americans.

Migrants traveling in a caravan from Central America to the U.S. drew a swastika on an American flag and set it on fire.

ORIGIN

On 22 October 2018, as thousands of migrants trying to reach the United States headed north out of Central America into southern Mexico, social media users shared an image some claimed to show members of the caravan defacing an American flag with a swastika and burning it:

The image was real enough, but it didn’t depict what many claimed of it. The picture was taken by Associated Press photographer Fernando Antonio on 19 October 2018 in front of the American embassy in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras, but the caption accompanying the photograph noted that at the time the picture was snapped, the migrant caravan was “stuck” at the Guatemala-Mexico border, hundreds of miles away from Tegucigalpa:

Two people burn a United States flag during a protest in favor of the caravan of migrants that is currently stuck on the Guatemala-Mexico border, in front of the American embassy, in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Friday, Oct. 19, 2018. The U.S.-bound caravan that once totaled more than 3,000 Central American migrants looked to be about a third that size Saturday morning, when its remaining members woke up on a bridge that divides the borders of Guatemala and Mexico and waited to get past a crossing guarded by hundreds of Mexican federal police.

Unsurprisingly, some websites spread misinformation about the image with vaguely-worded stories. InfoWars, the conspiracy peddling network run by Alex Jones, reported under the headline “Hondurans Paint Swastika on American Flag, Set It on Fire; Wave Honduran Flags, Give Us the Finger” that “These are the people demanding we open our borders.”

Right-wing blog Breitbart.com posted the picture with the headline “PHOTO: Caravan Protesters Paint Swastika on American Flag, Burn It in the Street.”

Although the persons pictured were protesting the treatment of migrants traveling with the caravan, they were not themselves part of the caravan.

About 7,000 migrants started north from Honduras on 12 October 2018, and on the day the photograph was taken they were temporarily blocked at the Mexican border by authorities. After facing down riot police wielding pepper spray, many broke through the border fence separating the two countries and as of 22 October 2018 had reached Tapachula in southern Mexico.

Caravans comprise many asylum seekers, including women and children fleeing violence and hunger in their home countries. The activity has become the source of fear-mongering by U.S. politicians in the lead-up to the 2018 midterm elections.

Snopes.com has long been engaged in the battle against misinformation, an effort we could not sustain without the support of our readers.

As always SIG trolls and spreads lies and again shows she is nothing more than a troll and sick sick bitch. She quotes twitter. Probably a Russian troll account.

The caravan of more than 7,200 refugees escaping desperate poverty and rampant violence in Central America has successfully crossed into Mexico on its way to the United States. The caravan, which has taken on the character of a mass political demonstration, is mostly composed of Hondurans and includes about 2,300 children and 2,200 women.

With hundreds of miles behind them and hundreds of miles ahead, the migrants marched on Sunday toward the Mexican city of Tapachula in the state of Chiapas.

In spite of the scorching sun and military helicopters hovering overhead, the spirited caravan chanted, “Migrants are not criminals, we are international workers!” and “Why kill us? We are the hope!”

Clearly, they want to be American citizens.

Sig's sarcasm and link exposes where her russian train of thought comes from. Follow her link and see who's thinking she is reflecting. You'll see,

Published by the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI). The Fourth International was founded by Leon Trotsky in 1938. The ICFI consists of the Socialist Equality Party national sections throughout the world. Only a russian would seek out this source. Isn't that right comrade sig?

You don't understand, comrade.

The article that I quoted SUPPORTS these "international workers". If those self-described communists support the caravan but I'm against it, what does that make me? An anti-communist?

Epic logic fail on your part.

No comrade I understand completely. Your source promotes socialism, workers over democracy. You're trying to hang the label anti-democracy anti-capitalist around the necks of the marchers coming here. It's supports Trumps message against democrats. Ya know, those damn liberals.

Your first post shows explicitly your disdain for those who make up the caravan. No, your second post does not show support. It too attempts to send a negative message about the caravan as well comrade.

Well, let's see if we can unscramble your scrambled thinking.

ACCORDING TO YOU the source promotes socialism. It also supports the caravaners. Democrats ALSO support the caravaners. Does that mean they support socialism?

Trump is AGAINST the caravaners. He is also against Democrats. Does that mean that he's against socialism?
