Well, it seems Trump really stepped in it now.
He capitulated to MSM and signed a new order circumventing Congress and the Laws passed by Congress.
This way Liberals can now file suit against Trump for Constitutional overreach, and keep the same stories of the past week in the headlines for months or years.
Handy to have some Fake News to rely on while Obama Crimes and Corruption, Hilliary Crimes and Corruption, Comey, McCabe, etc Crimes can be overlooked and unreported.

Could you be more specific? Because I have found those who lean Republican in Texas are a bunch of whinny little cry-babies about their words being twisted. Here are some recent words from famous Republicans and it is all twisted lies:

“Congress and the courts created this problem, and Congress alone can fix it. Until then, we will enforce every law we have on the books to defend the sovereignty and security of the United States.” — Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen

“It's not a policy. Our policy at DHS is to do what we're sworn to do, which is to enforce the law.” — Nielsen

“The only [other] option is to not enforce the law at all.” — Nielsen

“I don't want children taken away from parents. And when you prosecute the parents for coming in illegally, which should happen, you have to take the children away. Now we don't have to prosecute them, but then we're not prosecuting them for coming in illegally.” — Trump

“You can’t do it through an executive order.” — Trump

And not only did the administration say it was bound by man's law to do what it was doing; it said it was also bound by God's law. "I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said recently in defending the policy, "to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained them for the purpose of order.”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders offered a similar justification, which logic would suggest means Trump will have some explaining to do at the Pearly Gates.

I encourage the Justice Department to take each and every single one of these people to trial. When none of these people are convicted, that will be the news. But the GOP doesn't have the guts to take any of this to court. It's easier for the GOP to be a bunch of whinny little cry-babies on FOX.

All of Kirstjen Nielsen's advocating for caging children on the southern border made her hungry for some Mexican food.

I will be very specific: you are not getting any raises unless you convince your boss. It is not the quantity of Central America refugees that determine where you work and how much you are paid. It is completely a negotiation between only you and your boss. The invisible hand and supply and demand have nothing to do with how much you are paid. If you are too fucking dumb to understand that Trump can't help you by jailing children, you are too fucking dumb to negotiate a raise. Did you understand, 6ix?

You are absolutely over-simplifying a very complex issue, and eliminating factors that don't agree with your agenda.

Wages for workers are held down, primarily, by three things that businesses in America do today.

1. Illegal workers driving down wages for the lowest paying jobs.

2. Outsourcing livable wage jobs to countries with skilled labor that can do it at a fraction of the labor cost because the cost of living is so small compared to here.

3. Completely displacing the need for workers in both low and middle paying jobs by automation.

If there were no illegal workers to do the lowest paying jobs for even less than the pathetic minimum wage in this country, the DEMAND for WORKERS for these jobs would increase, thus the pay would increase accordingly.

And if the pay for the simplest and shittiest jobs were to increase due to this, at least to the minimum wage, pay for the better jobs on the lower end would also increase.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Nice piece of writing, 6ix. It removes from you the responsibility for how much you are paid by placing it beyond your reach. Very articulate, but let me be blunt: you have no fucking idea of what you are talking about and neither does Trump.

Faced with a problem Mitch McConnell can’t solve for him, Trump is flailing.

Trump has largely skated by as president, deferring to the policy consensus in Republican Party circles. He’s served as a rubber-stamp signatory of tax legislation he wasn’t involved in crafting and judicial nominations in which he had little say.

But sometimes things happen — like a surge of families with children arriving at the border to press asylum claims — that require leadership in the executive branch and don’t have obvious solutions.

Trump’s response to the crisis at the US-Mexico border — where toddlers are in internment camps and older kids are in tent cities at frightening expense while children sob, health deteriorates, and the long-term damage of toxic stress accumulates — reminds us that he does not know anything about public policy, diplomacy, constitutional law, or legislative strategy.

So you get instead what he’s delivered over the past two weeks — aggressive hostage-taking, lying, trolling, chaos, dissembling, and cruelty — none of which is going to advance Trump’s legislative goals or address the underlying issue of the northward flow of asylum seekers. Even the executive order he signed on Wednesday raises more questions than it will probably solve.

All presidents are tested now and again, and Trump is failing massively. It’s not quite the first time, and it certainly won’t be the last. Being president of the United States is a difficult job, and Donald Trump has no idea how to do it.

Immigration crisis hit the USA in 2014. > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_American_immigration_crisis

Many of the children coming across were unaccompanied minors. The government responded by setting up temporary facilities meant to provide shelter for the people seeking asylum.

As part of this process, the government sent $2.7 billion in aid to provide shelter, food, medical care, lawyers and judges in order to expedite the process as much as possible. However due to the volume of people this was taking too long.

So Obama requested an additional $4 billion to deal with the problem that originated from the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 which made sending some of these people back to their origin country difficult. Rather than assisting with the situation, congress decided to hold the refugees hostage by attempted to get the 2008 act repealed (an act I might add signed into law by the GOP's former President Bush) in exchange for the funds.

What the Obama administration didn't do is forcibly separate children from their parents. That administration had to deal with a large number of unaccompanied minors, and did the best they could while being held back and denied funds by the GOP controlled congress. Now, that isn't to say this was flawless or awesome. It had it's own slew of problem. Conditions weren't great, and the ACLU sued in order to get them approved (go ACLU, you never disappoint me).

The current "administration" under Trump is forcibly separating families and detaining children as a punitive measure to exhibit a "zero tolerance" policy.

That's the difference. Obama had to deal with a crisis and provided whatever he could because he was a humanitarian. The GOP held the refugees hostage, just like they're doing now, in order to strong arm democrats into signing for things like a border wall.

If the GOP cared at all, it would have already fixed this problem. They have majority control of all 3 branches of government, and they have full democratic support for reuniting these children with their families. Any proposal that is about reuniting the families will be fully supported by democrats.

With that being said. The additional $3.7 bln that Obama was asking for to help fix this humanitarian crisis was denied by Senate Republicans.
https://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/09/us/obama-seeks-billions-for-childre
n-immigration-crisis.html

So there was a significant influx of children without parents that came over the border. The abuses should be addressed. But do not forget that the current abuses are sanctioned by the President.

So, once again, the trolls are lying, the Republicans are lying, and you've been proven liars.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

But there was so much more in the Obama administration - namely, deporting parents who were here back to Mexico while leaving their DACA children here. As many as 20,000 children were separated from their parents that way.

THANKS! OBAMA, FOR BEING A DICK!

Why should a tax payer in Texas have his money spent fixing the problems of Indiana? What is 6ixStringJack in Indiana worth to me in Texas? Nothing at all. I think worthless 6ix owes me some money that he got for SNAP. I certainly remember 6ix defending SNAP as a worthwhile program. It was not worth anything to me to keep 6ix from starving. Give me my money back, 6ix. Do it now!

There is a highly technical debate among economists about whether low-education immigrants exert a depressing effect on the wages of low-education native-born workers such as 6ixStringJack (most researchers find that they don’t, but there is some disagreement). This debate, however, is playing no role in Trump policies.

What these policies reflect, instead, is a vision of “American carnage,” of big cities overrun by violent immigrants. And this vision bears no relationship to reality.

For one thing, despite a small uptick since 2014, violent crime in America is actually at historical lows, with the homicide rate back to where it was in the early 1960s. (German crime is also at a historical low, by the way.) Trump’s carnage is a figment of his imagination. More at

I am a bit taken back by the Janus positions of the Libtards lately.

Libtards have spent decades demanding that Government Nanny State be the Institutionalized Norm. CPS, confiscating kids away from loving parents, only Government Bureaucracy can decide what is best for children and babies, and which ones to kill or let live, Government Bureaucrats must be the sole arbiter of child disposition. It Takes a Village (aka Nanny State Government) To Raise a Child.

So now, all of a sudden, their beloved and entrenched Government Bureaucracy Child Care is not better than Criminal parents, Criminal Families, or the child traffickers they are with?
Law-Abiding Citizens cannot get relief from these Nazi Liberal Bureaucrats, but Criminal invaders must be treated better than American Citizens? Why must they be treated better?

Does any reasonable person see any logic in this?
Or is it solely knee-jerk Liberalism at work?

There's a difference, idiot.

I pay income taxes, and I pay property taxes. Even when I wasn't working, I paid property taxes. Like every legal citizen that has a social security number, when I am working, part of my income is going towards social security that I'm not likely to get when I retire. I'm just getting MY money back when and where I can.

To me this seems like it would be unjust and unfair, but that makes it all par for the course for intolerant and unjust Libtards.

Now we know the answers.

Oh. So I guess you can mark it in the books that January 4th, 2019 was the time that Democrats called into question Trump's fitness for office.

It's a new year. Just forget about the last two years where they did that every single day. That never happened.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

I've got an idea for Democrats.

How about you find a fucking platform that speaks to the people and run on it?

Two years of running on "We're not Trump" didn't work for Hillary and didn't result in the Blue Wave you were expecting either.

And now the Democratic politicians and pundits are all calling for MORE WAR and you guys just fucking eat it up because your hatred for "the other side" is so strong.

YOUR TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME HAS GOT YOU SO TWISTED THAT DEMOCRATS ARE BECOMING THE PARTY OF NEVER-ENDING WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW IT!!!!

Your "side" was spending weeks singing McCain's praises and regularly talks about how much they miss GWB these days.

George W. "Patriot Act, eternal Middle East conflict, Anti-Gay-Marriage Constitutional Amendment" Bush is what you guys are longing for in 2019?????

Wake the fuck up.

Find a message.

Kick those corporate neo-liberal pro-war hawks out.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Wow, I guess you hadn't heard yet. It's called the mid-terms dummy. Google it and check out what happened. It was historic, regardless of what your mind will accept and you will post.

That wasn't a wave. Not even close.

Wow... The house flipped sides. Something that has happened EVERY SINGLE MID-TERM ELECTION save for ONE in the last 100 years.

Now it's your turn to Google what the predictions by the MSM were for both the house and the senate as well as governorships 4 months prior to the mid-terms compared to what actually happened.

You'll find it was not much different than Hillary's "stunning" loss.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

How is 2014 an example?

Republicans already had control of the house.

I should clarify that I meant it flipped to the other side that was not held currently by the President.

The Republicans managed to already do that in the first mid-term after Obama was President.

I like to use these instances to point out just how often those of us not buying into any of the Russia bullshit actually disagree with each other. It happens quite frequently.

One might notice that the rest of them are either in 100% agreement with each other at all times, they maintain their solidarity by never speaking up when somebody on their "side" says something they don't agree with, or they are one single person pretending to be about 6 different people.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Today Stretch Pelosi had a Bill for adding merely an additional 100 Administrative Judges to the Border Entry Points, and she refused to allow it to come up for Vote.

For those not following, a Ruling has decided that Children of Illegal Alien Criminals cannot be held for more than 20 days in a detention facility. So when the Illegal Alien parents have claimed to seek Asylum, then after 20 days, their children are taken from them - by order of the liberal judges. Sen Ted Cruz has issued a report regarding how many more Administrative Judges would be needed to process the backlog of Asylum cases and get the process time down to 20 days. The amount needed is more than 100 judges, but Stretch Pelosi won't even allow that many, enuring that more children will be separated from their parents.

This is in step with her other obstructionist work, such as her strides to REDUCE the number of beds in detention facilities, claiming the backlog is just a "made-up" crisis, and no children of detainees need to have beds.
