When did Witchcraft Pagan symbols, Gore and perverted Masochism, the Baphomet Shemale Tranny devil thing or 'Satanism' type stuff go mainstream

The symbols used to be in underground media, you had some shock magazine comic thing at one time, a weird VHS DVD slasher movies, the odd video on a heavy metal song or MTV the occasional tv show, an old Christopher Lee movie but now its everywhere, it could easily be in every rock song, rap song, pop song and nobody blinks an eye because all that pentagram, the gore and perversion, the all seeing eye and witchcraft crap is suddenly normalized?

I'm not sure what you'd call it maybe weird Witchcraft Pagan stuff, Mesopotamian Mythology or Masonry and Luciferian crap? Sometimes the symbols are Roman or Arabic, others Jewish or Eastern with a mix of gnosticism, kabbalah and freemasonry. The original Sabrina show was kinda funny, it had witches but was pretty wholesome and lighthearted, the new one is perverted, dark, weird and satanic.

American Horror Story is full of this weird Sadism stuff, I find the Saw, Human Centipedes type films un-watchable, a new trend in sadistic gore hollywood film making, some call it the worst of torture porn ... Hollywood being shocking jus for the sake of sadism, violence, masochism and gore.
There are A LOT of these films of late, Dark Places, The Task, Jennifers Body, The Inhabitant, The Dinner Party, Annabelle, Iconoclast, the Supermax, 'The Ninth Gate', The Skulls, Get Out, foreign horror the whole Korea Japanese Asia horror scene with 'The Healing' the Ring Curse Hex franchise
more Hollyweirdo shitty themes and horror and shows and movies like 'The Black Door', 'Lost Souls', Manson My Name Is Evil, The Nightstalker, 'Hail Satan?', Eyes Wide Shut, 'A Dark Song',
You get movies like blackcoats daughter, pseudo intellectual movie the witch for the “smart” crowd. Fox now owned by Disney made Lucifer for the young adults or the 20-40 crowd.
Kids Teen stuff and Satanism in the toons, Sabrina and all the other witchcraft teen shows
Endless Horror Video games from Microsoft Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo and new Video Game Producers in Japan.
It goes on at the MTV and Film award shows.
Wholesome family tv dead, replaced by multiple serial killer, cannibalism themed shows

Perhaps Symbolism and the Occult has alwas been part of American life

Maybe the supernatural has always been popular with books like Frankenstein and in the movies with Nosferatu in 1922
However I feel the movie themes or 'symbols' are a lot more mainstream now?

I remember the tv show that recently ended called 'Supernatural' had a lot of this stuff but the two brothers were typically good trying to defeat some occult power or fight against corruption, darkness and evil. Supernatural ran for Fifteen Seasons, September 2005 – all the way until November 2020.
Then in recent times a lot of the tv shows tried to make criminals 'hip or something, the monsters and zombies were cool the humans bad and fodder, the weirdo rituals and serial killer pushed to the mainstream?
Time to turn off the tv...maybe i t has always been around but it is definitely more blatant now...Everything is getting darker and evil?
when did normalization of the Occult, Gore and Sadism happen?

Maybe its not just old Hollywood media going more odd but its Netflix, Hulu, the youtubes the Amazons, the internet itself has made it all more weird, dark and extreme? They get into a contest trying to outdo each other with this Gore, Sadism and Occult stuff

I blame PirateNews, I never really cared for religion, I would have watched the odd horror movie but I never obsessed about the genre or followed an Occult thing I thought it was a waste of time, I never followed any tinsel town rumors. Oh yeah... It's all over the place now. Straight into the mainstream from out of the shadows. Bands like Anthrax, Iron Maiden and Slayer and their posters almost seem quaint in 2021 when little sluts that used to be Disney Princesses are making occult symbols in their videos flashing and jumping all over the place while "singing" about fucking their wet ass pussy.

I'm not particularly religious myself, and pretty much on the fence about that issue, so I don't care all that much.

It's probably never been harder to raise your kids to be at least somewhat decent human beings though. Parents have a tough job these days.
