I mean, I don't share the right's feeling about illegal immigrants. I think they're just people. But I see no reason why anyone would have anything to gain by doing this. I mean, they're not legally here, so there's no way they can vote. So it's not worth it to a politician. They probably don't pay taxes, unless they're auto deducted from their pay. So ?

I don't think that makes Biden cancer. I don't even have a problem with it, but why do it at all, I'm baffled.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

I guess this is part of my being a nationalist and not a globalist, DT.

IMHO The government should be attending to the wellbeing of the nation and its citizens, and NOT "solving" the problems of corrupt third-world governments by providing a safety valve to accomodate their corrupt policies.

It goes along with the idea that we shouldn't be involving ourselves with toppling some governments and setting up others, either. Which means, among other things, that we shouldn't have toppled so many reformist democracies in Central and S America to begin with.

The only entities that benefit from doing what we did (set up corrupt regimes around the world) are our banks, multinationals, and the ever-present MIC/security state. And the only entities that benefit from providing that "safety valve" into the USA are cheap-labor interests: farming (stoop labor), agriculture and ranching; sweatshops and assembly plants; meat-packing plants and construction; and middle class Americans who want to hire cheap babysitters, gardeners, and day-laborers.

But anyone who works a lower-level job is in direct competition with illegal labor.

The GOP's "invasion" is a tool to manipulate dimwit swing voters. The GOP is wasting their energy and voice with the fake "invasion" story because swing voters will swing back and forth in a semi-random rhythm (2/4/6/8 years) without anybody pushing them with fake stories. The swing voters swing to the other side simply because that is what dithering fools do -- always unhappy, always switching Ds for Rs than Rs for Ds.
