Okies..dunno if this should be the section to put this in, but figured since it had an absolutely hysterical political bent to it..it might be fun to put something funny in "Real World" Discussions. I found this to be funny as hell. Enjoy

George and Laura Bush and Bill and Hilary Clinton are traveling by train to the Super Bowl. At the station George and Laura each buy a ticket and watch as Bill and Hilary buy just one ticket.

"How are the two of you going to travel on only one ticket?" asks George W, astonished at what he is seeing.

"Watch and learn," answers Hilary.

They all board the train. George and Laura take their respective seats but Bill and Hilary cram into a toilet together and close the door. Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the toilet door and says, "Ticket, please." The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand. The conductor takes it and moves on.

The Bushes see this happen and agree it was quite a clever idea, so after the game they decide to try a similar plan on the return trip. When they get to
the station they see the Clinton's at the window buying a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the Clinton's see that the Bushes don't buy any ticket at all.

"Aren't you taking a terrible chance by traveling without a ticket?" says Hilary.

"Live and learn," answers Laura Bush.

When they board the train the Bushes cram themselves into a toilet and the Clinton's cram into another toilet just down the way. Shortly after the train leaves the station, George W. leaves their toilet and walks over to the Clinton's toilet, knocks on their door and says, "Ticket, please."

Still wonder how the Democrats lost the election?

Yep. We've always known it was stolen by more effective thieves.

So you state for the record that the Dems are not only thieves, but inept ones? Thank you for that admission. No more questions, Your Honor.

I can't imagine more effective thieves then the Clintons.

Most likely they were discovered w/out their ticket. They denied everything. Then admitted everything, then faced no sanction or punishment.

The Clintons can cheat a person while robbing them blind and making him love them.

I admit that when Democrats lower themselves to attempt theft, their natural honesty overwhelms them and they become 'inept at theft'. Thank goodness our Neocon leadership doesn't suffer from limitations caused by honesty or integrity. :)

So you accept, for the record, that the Republicans are more corrupt, and more successful at exploiting corruption, than the Democrats?
I'm not even sure how I would measure that, but it would be an intriguing project.

Then you suffer from a poverty of imagination, or historical perspective, or both. And, it seems to me, a blissful state with regards to current events.

Like the "natural honesty" of the Democrats who ran the Vietnam War? Does the name McNamara ring a bell?
How does a party acquire such virtue?
I was just wondering, with, you know, no actual evidence of any such virtue, how that can be the case? My Republican friends couldn't explain that one to me last November, either, although they were certain of it in their own case.

Which all begs the question, Why are we supporting W, Clinton, Kennedy, Hastert, Lieberman, or any of these people?
Because their behavior has been, by any objective measure, indefensible.

It is my observation that the vast majority of US citizens treat politics like a sporting event and those that don't are not welcome by either party, isn't that right Senator Jeffords? There is no sin that cannot be excused, provided it is for the cause of one's team.
It's rutting humiliating.
