So when did you become a Firefly fan?
Not sure. I think it was gradual, given the slowish start of the first few eps.

What attracted you to the show?
I specifically tuned in because I knew it was Joss's.

Who is your favourite character?
Mal. To be honest though, I don't think the rest of them had enough screen time/story lines to really establish themselves in comparison.

Which is your favourite episode?
Out of Gas. Utterly unbelievable.

Which Firefly character would you say you were most like?
Simon.

What do you hope would have been achieved in the first Season, if it hadn't been cancelled?
I don't think a first season has to achieve anything other than establishing the characters. I imagine Joss would have surprised us though.

What do you hope will happen in the movie?
Anything that will make me want to go straight back in and watch it again.

Which is your favourite relationship on the show?
Book/everyone else. They don't have a clue.

Which characters do you wish had collaborated more?
Mal and Book - I sense shared experience.

NEEDLESEYE

So when did you become a Firefly fan?
On viewing the previews. The permanent state of fandom took as the first commercial hit, and I couldn't wait for the next scene!

What attracted you to the show?
The beauty that is the story, the characters, the humor. The Captain had sort of a bit to do with it too, but the ship, and the whole atmosphere of the show just clicked for me.

Who is your favourite character? Mal. I like the humor and then the undercurrent of who he his, was, and wants. Plus his name was just off a bit from my maiden name. It was like I had a brother on TV, but I then had to dismiss the whole brother idea, cuz he's too good lookin for me to see as attractive and related!

Which is your favourite episode? I'd think Shindig, cuz I'm all about costumes, but Out of Gas is probably my most favorite. Mal with the
"crush on a girl " look on his face, when he sees Serenity. I like all the details you get on everyone from that story.

Which Firefly character would you say you were most like? Kaylee in the knack for doing something, and Mal the in personality way.
Of course in person, I'm completely different.

What do you hope would have been achieved in the first Season, if it hadn't been cancelled? I wanted to know more about Inara, or just everybody. I'm also curious about Blue Sun.

What do you hope will happen in the movie? Something wonderful. Just continuation of the story is enough for me.

So, how many people you converted to Browncoats? Sadly, all my efforts have failed. Also, I don't like sharing sometimes :)

Which is your favourite relationship on the show? Mal and Inara, bittersweet!

Which characters do you wish had collaborated more? Jayne and Kaylee. I swear there's a thing, Jayne is all about Kaylee. He's such a big dummy!

So when did you become a Firefly fan?After buying the dvd set. I was enjoying the show, but during the bit with the reavers chasing serenity in the atmosphere i suddenly realised just how innovative the sfx were and my fandom stepped up a gear.

What attracted you to the show?
joss whedon's name, and the fact that i love shiny boxsets (and yes, i was using shiny before firefly)

Who is your favourite character?
being testosterone driven as i am, it's something of a toss up (heh) between inara and saffron

Which is your favourite episode?
our mrs reynolds - see above :)

Which Firefly character would you say you were most like?
simon or wash. a bit of both.

What do you hope would have been achieved in the first Season, if it hadn't been cancelled?
not a lot, i was enjoying the characters' major arcs moving along slowly and wouldn't expect much to have been resolved in the first season at all

What do you hope will happen in the movie?
whatever joss wants to happen. i have faith.
(addendum, i want to see plenty of inara still, and saffron in a sequel)

So, how many people you converted to Browncoats?
browncoats as such, probably none, but i've had 3 people watch my dvds and enjoy em so far and i expect them to want to see the movie too. and i have a few other to work on when i get the set back.

Which is your favourite relationship on the show?
can't imagine it being a surpise that i'm leaning in the directions of inara/mal, saffron/mal and inara/saffron :b...

Which characters do you wish had collaborated more?
nothing specific, maybe, and this is nothing to do with my earlier statements this time, inara and all the crew. she always seemed a little separated from the others to me. the scene in oog with her and simon talking always strikes me as almost odd that she's talking with him you know?

And finally...

Which is your favourite line form "The Ballad of Serenity?"
not really got one. don't actually like the song. if i have to choose one, i'll go for take me out to the black tell em i aint comin back, but thats almost but not quite an entirely random choice.

1)I've been a firefly fan since it aired (but missed the first three episodes)

2)What attracted me was everything, the ship, characters, the plot...everything!

3)My favourite character is Wash, (the whole semi-muscular, funny guy) and Mal (can be serious or funny) both are cute.

4)Favourite episode would have to be 'out of gas' (how the crew came to be) and 'war stories' (how mal and wash interact)

5)The charater I think I'm most like is Zoe -except I'm not much of a hand-to-hand combat girl, but I'll watch your back.

6)I wish they would show more on Book -he's so mysterious.

7)I hope in the movie, they'll show reavers and the Blue Sun (also a mystery)

8)Favourite relationship would have to be Zoe, Wash and Mal, each of them are affected by one another.

9)I wish they collbrated more with Book and Zoe (their pasts)

10)Favourite line is "theres no place I can be since I found Serenity" (firefly has changed my life)

So when did you become a Firefly fan?
last may, I was stuck in my dorm alone for a week, so I bought the dvds to keep me busy

What attracted you to the show?
three things:1. Joss Whedon. 2. Jewel Staite (been a fan of hers for many years) 3. Sci-fi series(yay)

Who is your favourite character?
Kaylee or Mal

Which is your favourite episode?
Objects in Space, but I also love Jaynestown, Our Mrs Reynolds, and The Message

Which Firefly character would you say you were most like?
probably Kaylee

What do you hope would have been achieved in the first Season, if it hadn't been cancelled?
nothing. I would have wanted the suspense of the River/Blue Sun and who Book really is to last a while. Also, as much as i want to see them together, I would have wanted to see the awkward not-quite stage Kaylee/Simon and Mal/Inara relationships last for a good long time (because the wanting is more fun {on screen} than the having)

What do you hope will happen in the movie?
