Okay, i'm NOT saying Firefly is going to get cancelled. However, in the event that it does (slowly getting more likely) there are a few questions about the series i'd like answered:

1. What's the deal with Book? Who is he, really?

2. Who were those scientist guys with the sticks that make you bleed everywhere?

3a. Would there have ever been any eventual relationships between the obvious pairs (i.e. Simon/Kaylee, Mal/Inara)

3b. If so, when?

4. Why is the Alliance so hated? The show never really touches on why so many planets refused to join them.

and finally...

5. Can I ever get a DECENT tab of the Firefly theme?

Amen. Let me know if you ever do... Dammit, if JOss wrote the music, he much have the tab or sheet music for it somewhere.

NOTE TO ANY ME/20th Fox PEOPLE READING:
Official tabulature and/or sheet music for the Ballad of Serenity would make a REALLY good bonus feature for a DVD set.

1. What's the deal with Book? Who is he, really?

Not a preacher and he never married so he's nobody's "grampa".

2. Who were those scientist guys with the sticks that make you bleed everywhere?

Two by two...hands of blue. Nasty guys who lobotomize innocent girl geniuses to give them precognition and telepathy, of course.

3a. Would there have ever been any eventual relationships between the obvious pairs (i.e. Simon/Kaylee, Mal/Inara)

Yes.

3b. If so, when?

Later.

4. Why is the Alliance so hated? The show never really touches on why so many planets refused to join them.

Because they are bad. Well, probably had something to do with the smaller colonies wanting to do things for themselves and be free to make thier own way but then the Allience couldn't make money off of the potential trade and keep the collony going. The Allience taxed the outer collonies more but gave them no increased say in policy...voila: Taxation without representation. Only this tme, the colonies lost...

5. Can I ever get a DECENT tab of the Firefly theme?

I have a couple, but I got them all from around here. E-mai me if you'd like a copy.

I wanna know too. That's why I'm making things up. (see thread for virtual season)

1. There are some VERY interesting opinions about book. Some even think he's a preacher.

2. The bad guys!!! (duh) Think of the cigarette man in X-files.

3a. Of course.

3b. When the fans got so antsy they started riots. (you gotta drag these things out some, or there's nothing left to write about)

4. The alliance wasn't so hated, just by the characters in the story, and they had a personal grudge against the alliance, except for Inara.

The alliance seems like the North in the Civil War era, and the Indpendants seems like the South. Or, the alliance could be Mother England in the Revolutionary Era, and the Indpendants could be the colonists. Either way, it seems that every time a population starts to expand away from practical borders, the frontiersmen want to break away, and the "home office" wants to keep their revenue, er, their loyalty. ie: 13 colonies, the Southern States, India, Australia, etc. Just like in the Civil War, the rebels lost.

But that's my take on things, and as THERE'S NO NEW EPISODES ANY TIME SOON all I think too much.

WASH: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction.
ZOE: We live in a space ship, dear.
WASH: So?

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Well Browncoats, things do not look good, but it is not over yet.

I too would like answers to the more obvious questions of character development, their pasts, etc. Unless Joss pulls a rabbit out of his hat though, we may never know. It is fun to speculate and theorize, but Joss and the writers are the only ones that know for sure.

Keep your fingers crossed that Joss can get Serenity back into the air somehow so we can find out all the answers to our questions.
