America loves a winner!

As they come out for each movie, OR should we just wait for the BDT(Big Damn Trilogy) Box Set to come out, which'll be loaded down w/ all sorts of extras?

Well, I have no desire to wait for years to wait for a trilogy box set (especially since we don't even know if there will be a Serenity 2 much less 3). I just want to know if they're going to release a subpar DVD at first and then release another super shiny special edition DVD soon thereafter like certain other movies have done.

I was just thinking the other day that I hope they jam pack the DVD with extras. Maybe even a bonus disk FULL of extras.... mmm that'd be nice. I wont be waiting for the trilogy box set but I will probably buy it as well when it comes out.

A: Yes.

If the DVDs sell well, that may influence them to make another movie. Or 2. And then we'll get our BDT. So yes. Buy 2.

As others have said, we might not get that Big Damn Trilogy if the DVDs don't sell well enough. Joss himself said "DVDs are the new box office" or something to that effect, so they will most likely be crucial when it comes to Universal's decision to greenlight the sequels.

Besides, once the sequels happen you can sell or give away your old DVDs and get the Big Damn Trilogy set.

CMS is exactly right, the more people that buy the DVDs the more likely a sequel will be made

I had to buy another copy of the DVDs anyway when I met the BDHs as HMV wouldn't let them sign anything that hadn't been bought from them.

So now I have a pristine autographed DVD boxset, and my original, well worn boxset

I'll end up buying anything else they release too no doubt
