Has anyone else seen this yet? There appears to be a second Serenity novel on Amazon. I found it earlier in the week and submitted it for news but it hasn't shown up.

I can't find a search function and don't see any other threads on it. Here's the link, hope it isn't a duplicate.

Anyway, here's the link to Mirror Image (Serenity):

Cheers for KRAD!

Krad isn't actually writing this, and it's not even an approved book - nobody knows where Amazon got this info from, it simply doesn't exist as a book.

Really wish they'd take that off Amazon. Getting tired of answering that same question... No reason not to believe it, but KRAD has said more times than he likes that that's not his book and through all his connections there is absolutely no reason to believe it's even actually really happening. Amazon should probably do something about its research department.
There is however rumblings of at least 4 new Serenity books this year, the publisher and Universal are reading them to decide who gets the liscence, and if those sell well you can count on a whole shelf of Serenity books in the bookstores by the next year or so. KRAD intends to be one of them I believe... but his book is not "Mirror Image". As soon as something is decided I'm sure KRAD or Someone will tell us. (Krad hangs out on the Versal board, can check his posts there)

Hopefully that clears things up.

Also posted this to the Browncoats board, and why repeat myself?

The listing for Mirror Image is a placeholder for a new Serenity novel, but we're still waiting for final word from Joss on what direction the novels might take. About a dozen authors (including me) have submitted proposals for the two novels, but we've been in a holding pattern.

Joss himself told me at the Flanvention last weekend that he needs to see what the DVD sales are like, and that will have an impact on what the future of the franchise is generally -- including the novels.

So there will be two more Serenity novels -- it was part of the contract for the novelization -- but at this point the likelihood of a summer release is pretty much nonexistent.

As soon as there's news, I'll be sure to post it here.
