Starting June 1 (Wednesday), Barnes & Noble.com (bn.com) is having a huge sale during the month of June (or until supplies last). From what I've heard sets are going to go fast, so get your orders in ASAP.

For every 2 DVDs you buy, you can get another 1 at equal or lesser value free. However, you can only get 3 DVDs per order. That means you have to place two orders to get 6 DVDs, i.e. one order for three, then another order for three, etc.

And yes, I work for them, but I'm giving fellow Browncoats a heads-up because Firefly is on the list of available titles. Which means you can buy 2 sets and get another one free to give away to friends, enemies, servicemen and women, libraries, naysayers, or newbies!

Oops, yeah, 10 a.m. Eastern time, give or take. I forget how we Browncoats are spread throughout the 'Verse.

Once the page goes live tomorrow morning, I'll update my original post with a direct link. We're going to have to check it for any problems or bad links, etc., so the page may go live a little later or a little earlier.

And for fans of other shows, the sale is going to cover different genres, TV series, and movies. You'll just have to browse and see which movies/shows qualify for the sale.

Bumping this because Firefly is selling well for us, but I'm sure more fans this week would like to take advantage of it. It's rated 21st out of the top 20 TV bestsellers, and is tenth in the top 20 of SciFi bestsellers this week.

I myself actually purchased Season 2, 3, and 4 of The X-Files, because it's just too good of a deal to pass up.

the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

Thanks muchly, RhymePhile, for this bodaceous tip. It doesn't make Firefly a great deal 'cause, even @B&N member price, it would only save $12 compared to buying them from Amazon. But Joss will still benefit -- I'm getting the Alien Quadrilogy for free. This will be the first time I get to see Alien Resurrection; soon I'll know what all the shouting is about.
