Likes to mess with stuffs.

I don't know if anyone noticed this, but in one of the Serenity promo images, Book's Chinese must not be very good (or he could be a genius). Apparently, he is reading the book upside down.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Good catch Haken. I didn't even notice it.

Maybe Book likes a challenge when he reads so he reads it upside down.

Ron Glass, not knowing Chinese, might have made the mistake because a Chinese book flips the opposite direction from a Western book.

More importantly, he's reading at the dinner table.

How rude, and from a Shepherd as well!

Good eye Haken.
I looked at it earlier today, thought it looked like it might possibly be upside down, but couldn't tell. So I let it go. I figured by now they'd all be familiar enough with chinese to know if it was right-side up or not. (Guess not, huh?)

If you want to be insane and refuse to believe it is a mistake you could say he's a closet left-hander. Left-handed people are better (than right handers) at reading upside-down, backwards, and upside down and backwards. My sister practices sometimes, she keeps her notes in reverse and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her reading a book upside-down.

I love reading upside down and writing backwards (not a lefty but a trained ambi). It was a fun game I played when I was little.

...

I've just relaized my parents abused my willingness to play games by making me read upside down and write with both hands. Sigh.

Lucky you, theories regarding me range from having no good hand to being switched (left handed but trained only to use the right.)

My god I can derail a conversation quickly.

*twg climds into rut and pushes Chris out*

My god that was...crap.

*twg crawls out of rut*

My folks wanted me to be a lefty, but I wasn't. So they taught me to use my left. I actually play soccer better on the left than right.

My parents are weird.

Maybe it is like playing your record (old school) backward in order to hear the sublime messages.

We got you partially surrounded.

I can read upside down (and write it as well) and I am left handed. Never knew the two were connected somehow. I thought everyone could read upside down...

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Most everyone can, it is just a question of who it comes more naturally to.

Actually left handers are, in general, better at most things. Many think that this is because they have been second class since the late stone age in all times and places except for a few castles in Scotland. You give someone a non symmetrical iron and a left hander will tend to fry the cord, result is that they have to think more.

That’s what they say at least, just because Da Vinci, Alexander the Great, Joan of Ark, Sam Adams, Frankllin, Benjamin, Thomas Jefferson, Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, Albert Einstein, Alan Turing, Aristotle, Franz Kafka, Kant, Helen Keller, Beethoven, Mozart, Napoleon Bonaparte, Sir Issac Newton, Nietzshe, Winston Churchill, Gen. George Patton, Jacques Cousteau, Ross Perot, Madame Curie, Picasso, Escher, Rubens, Castro, Gandhi, Albert Schweitzer, Michelangelo, Nikola Tesla, Goethe, Van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Harpo Marx, Charlie Chaplin, Robert Redford and Jimi Hendrix are but a few of the notable ones.

Of course as a right-hander I don’t actually know much about it, most of what I pick up is usless triva overheard from the left.
