(modified at 11:30 PDT) Theaters are starting their ticket sales whenever they feel like it. DC and Boston went live with the sales after midnight EDT and both sold out rather quickly. Best bet is to either use a tool like URLy (as outlined in the first post of this http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com/serenity/index.html?fuseaction=for
um.viewtopic&t=13235&start=0
thread ), or to monitor the UB, or to reload the theater's June 23rd page.

Joss just posted over at the UB:

um.viewtopic&t=13254&start=0

from above link, "Post subject: HOW'S 35?"
That a nice number? 35? It's a meaningful number. A prime number, if you don't have a seven. There are 35 crows sitting behind Tippie Hedren in the jungle gym sequence in The Birds (total lie). Lord Byron was 35 when he wrote "The Trouble With Tribbles" (embarrassing lie). Well, here's one thing. That's how many cities the next preview is going to be showing in.

Thirty five cities! That's over two fifths of all the cities in America! (Not a lie: I really just don't understand maps.) Thirty-five crazy Browncoat parties! June 23rd, usually a day of national mourning, is now a day of happy! As usual, the websperts will fill (the dare I say 35 left who haven’t figured this out already of) you in on little details like where, but that sounds not only like a good time – it sounds like a challenge. Can we really fill these theaters up? Without using monkeys, or any kind of devious, tricky, seat filling monkeys? Or monkeys? It's daunting. I know at least one of these cities has a population of eight and only got electricity last year (I think it's Chicago. That's how it looked on the map.)

Well, if you're reading this, and you haven't got a chance to see the flick yet, and you're not a monkey, I hope one of the cities is yours, or near yours. I'll be visiting at least one of them, 'cause I miss y'all, and besides, who better to be with on that particular day of national mourning?

Leave me to my pain!

-joss.

There's also a thread that is updated pretty regularly with the most up-to-date links to theaters (priscellie has done a great job of pulling together information from a large number of posts. These links are actually more accurate than the cantstopthesignal links - for the MovieTickets.com theaters anyway - since most of them go directly to June 23rd):
http://browncoats.serenitymovie.com/serenity/index.html?fuseaction=for
um.viewtopic&t=13235&start=0

* editted again: Cantstopthesignal has just been updated with all the theater listings. (thanks to angelfan6541 over on the UB for pointing this out). The fandango theaters go to the right date. For the movieticket theaters you have to manually select June 23rd. I don't think any of the theaters are selling tickets at this point in time.
http://cantstopthesignal.com/
Looks like all the 20 from the second screening are back along with an additional 15 (2 from Canada!!).
Albany, NY
Charlotte, NC
Cincinnati, OH
Columbus, OH
Indianappolis, IN
Houston, TX (this one is probably already sold out - went on sale last week)
Los Angeles, CA (actually Riverside - and sold out already - went on sale Monday)
Memphis, TN
New York NY
Pittsburgh, PA
Salt Lake City, UT
St Louis, MO
Tampa, FL
Toronto, ON, CA
Vancouver, BC, CA

Some theaters have confirmed that they won't begin selling tickets until Thursday in the am. But I have no idea if this is a general policy.

I live in Columbus, and am absolutely dying over the fact that I can't seem to order tickets through the website. I even called the theater and tried through their Cheesy-Voiced AutoPhoneMan -- nothing. Hopefully, they just haven't put them online for my theater yet. Cause otherwise...

I don't even want to think about it.

I heard that some theatres will be starting to sell them at about midnight tonight. I hope that's true, because if they go on sale tomorrow morning I'll miss out... again... for the third time. Why do have to be all adult, responsible-like and go to work tomorrow?

Keeping my hopes up... a little.

Cities are up and selling now. Many are going within a few minutes. Check to see if your city is gone (Hartford, Boston and DC are apparently sold out already). Scary, man. C'mon Chicago!!

I stayed up until about 3am hoping to see the ATL tickets go on sale. Now I'm at work every time I get a chance refreshing the site. I tried URLy last night at home but it kept giving me false positives. I'm missing some hair after that.

I'll definitely cry if I miss out yet again although I saw last night DC and Boston selling out in moments. Not a comforting thing. I've got a couple other browncoat friends trying to buy tickets hoping at least one of us will get them. Any extras will be posted here.

Although, I tellya what, I've seen a bunch of people posting about how they're hoping to get tickets to their 3rd screening. That makes me so steamed. Cmon guys! Share the love. Help someone who hasn't seen it or been as lucky have a chance.

Geez, So there I was, just after my shower at 7:15 a.m. and checked the site for tickets to DC only to find that they were sold out.

The guy at the theatre I talked to told me they would go on sale at 10am today...I think I may have been lied to. *blinks in a shocked fashion*

Now I find out that DC was sold out in five minutes! When did it go on sale? And how did the site handle all that traffic in five minutes?

I am just about kicking myself for not checking before I went to bed.

The sales at the counter probably were scheduled to open when the theater opened to the public, at 10AM, but the online sales began whenever someone scheduled it in the computer. As with last time, they still don't realise the size of their fanbase, and didn't think to coordinate times tightly.

The Albany theater, actually, told me on the phone they'd be beginning sales at 11am, and actually sold the tickets at 10:40am.

Just talked to the theatre in Albany. Tickets are on sale now online, at both Movietickets.com and Fandango.com, and you can also buy them at the front counter.

I was also told that they are going fast so it would probably be best to buy them as soon as possible.
