I thought he didn't come into the show until July. Let me check the website.

The article said he was taking over the role in early June. Didn't give a date.

The date was either June 6th or June 8th - whentheother actor has to leave for other work - so, really somebody must be able to report on his performance (unless of course the other actor has a change of heart)

Darin (Zol.)

p.s. shouldn`t it be `Spamalot` all one word?

I'd like to see it but tickets are tough to get.

I was thinking of inviting him to one of our Meetups in NYC! Jewel went to one in Vancouver and partied with NYC Browncoats at I-Con, and Johnathan Woodard (Tracy) came to our New England Shindig so well....he just should come to one of our Meetups!

Alan was supposed to start with Spamalot on Tuesday, June 7. So he's there, but whether anyone's made it to one of his shows yet is a little dicier.

I'm going on the 26th!

Look forward to hearing about it. Going to get his autograph after the show?

Hell. Yeah.

In fact, I'd thought about seeing Spamalot at some point; when I heard Alan was joining the cast, it became NOW. (Or at least as soon as I scraped up tickets on Ebay.)

Puttering about the 'net, I found a blog from someone who saw Spamalot over the weekend - Alan's first performance was on June 9th, and apparently he was very good.

But of course he was very good! Did you expect otherwise? He's a BDH!

Here's the write-up from the website:
ALAN TUDYK
(Lancelot, The French Taunter, Knight of Ni, Tim the Enchanter).
Broadway: Epic Proportions, directed by Jerry Zac. Off-Broadway: Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, by Paul Rudnick; Oedipus at CSC; Misalliance at Roundabout; and Bunny Bunny Awards (Equity's Clarence Derwent Award and a Theater World Award). T.V.: “Into the West,” “Arrested Development,” the amazing and most brilliant “Frasier,” “Firefly,” “Strangers With Candy.” Films: “Serenity;” “Dodgeball: A True Underdog's Story;” “I, Robot;” “A Knight's Tale;” “Hearts in Atlantis;” and “Patch Adams.”

Multiple parts, he's playing. Now I really want to see it. Pity me it's $100 a seat and way up yonder in NYC.
