I don't know about the other cities but here in Minnesota, we got a brand new print. The color correction has been done and the special effects are greatly improved.

No spoilers but, there are teensy differences between the print we saw in May and that which we viewed last night.

Seeing it a second time allowed me to see things I hadn't seen before. I'm thinking it's going to take about 6 viewings before I think I've got even the top layer of this movie analyzed. Then it will be another 4 or 5 large screen trips until I'm satisfied that I can go to the Director's Cut DVD with special features ... including Josses "Welcome to Serenity" intro.

"I'm gonna rip you a new puppet hole, bitch!"

Do you know what rating they'll give it? PG, PG-13, or R?

We got the new print in Vancouver too. I hadn't seen the previous ones. But it was shiny!

14A for Canada is supposedly confirmed, and a likely PG-13 for the US. I'd definitely agree with those ratings. In the Big Damn Review (spoiler-free) or (WITH SPOILERS) thread, there is a section in the review that has my take on previous reports of why this picture should earn one rating as opposed to another (mainly, the R rating). After seeing the film, I definitely feel those who were suggesting R elements were just getting hyped up.

Lots and Lots of violence with no Sex in the US that should get you a G rating.

Reb, you found us Welcome. You want to join the Yahoo group, you know you do.

I am not yet able to form words about my feelings about the BDM. I'm still processing everything I saw and heard from last night. (It took me 2 weeks to digest Episode 3...so it could take a while)

Plus, I have freinds giving me the guilt because I didn't tell them about the screening (or call them about the people with extra tickets at the theater).

Still digesting,
Heather

My days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle. - Mal

I was the chick sitting next to you in line (sporting the Fillionaire t-shirt I earned in Chicago at the Browncoat Ball last fall) and the chick who was toasting marshmallows next to you at the Browncoat Bonfire in St. Paul last month.

Someone on the mailing list was making a comment about the general lack of elaborate costumes for the 6-23 showing in the Twin Cities. As I explained the them then ... It's 92 degrees outside and feels like 104. I'm NOT wearing knee high leather boots and a long brown coat.
