Hmm but the Edinburgh Film festival are still advertising it as the World Premiere. What criteria are involved in calling something a World Premiere, I wonder?

I would think that the Edinburgh Film Festival is seen by many as like Cannes, so in that respect it has more going for it, whereas a comic con is still a comic con primarily and any thing else is a bonus (I`m not trying to be too harsh here but ...)

Got our 2 tickets this morning.
And perhaps a little ray of light for those who tried to get tickets but thought they had failed - we thought we hadn't managed to get tickets either because the film festival web site never got as far as confirming the transaction (same problems everyone else had). So imagine our surprise when the tickets popped through the letterbox this morning! :-)

Same thing happened to me. I'd given up hope of attending the premiere and then someone suggested people who tried to order online check their credit card bill. I could do that online and ... cue happy dance.

Tickets came through the door this morning.

A heads-up for those attending one of the Edinburgh Film Festival screenings, apparently all mobile phones will be confiscated at the door:

Has anyone not received their tickets for the original two screenings yet, please?

I'm getting a bit worried.

I've not had mine yet either, and the charges have gone through on my card so I'm not too worried.

I ordered them all separately - one for the screening on the phone, one for the Joss event online, and apparently two others online for the Joss event accidentally, so the time I would be worrying would be if half of my tickets came and half didn't.

I didn't get anything to go through until later in the day, though, so they might be going through in order of ... well, order.

If you guys are that worried, I would recommend that you give the Box Office a call and they will confirm the details over the telephone.

I did that on Tuesday, and I got the tickets on Wednesday for the Serenity viewing on Wednesday evening screening.

I`m not overly worried about this, they have to take precautions, my hope is that they screen the staff too fro contraband.

I`m going to have a slight problem in that, I will have my SLR Camera with me and no wheer to leave it, so will have to play it by ear - it can`t record video clips, but, you never know.

That's the beauty of Edinburgh; you can hand any possession, no matter how expensive, to the nearest native to look after for a few hours and they'll be patiently waiting for when you come out with it. They'll probably even have cleaned the lens.

Hi, your wording of accidentally made me perk up. Do you mean you might have more tickets for Tuesday than you need?

*makes hopeful puppy dog eyes*

I'm a lurker here mostly, but since I'm still a few tickets short, ahem... Could you, would you, permaybehaps consider giving one to me?
Pretty please?

Got a few Wednesday evening ones to exchange :)
And somebody called robofrog is also looking for an extra Tuesday ticket!

You can look here, if you ot tickets to spare:

Heh, well, unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, you're actually already getting the two accidental Tuesday tickets I have :D It's Rach - I have a different SN over here, 'cause I like to confuse things!

Sorry for getting your hopes up!

ooops, that's funny. :) By the way saw your e-mail too late to go to the bank today. will go tomorrow!

See ya Tuesday!

And thanks again for those shiny two tickeTs! Now only my brother needs one!

PS: did you read that due to the computer muddle I ended up with 5(!) extra wednesday tickets? It's really funny. When I spoke to the woman in the Edinburgh box office because of the concession I couldn't believe it: "You mean I actually have 5 tickets for Wednesday? Yes, are you sure? How many tickets have I got, ehhhh? What? really 5?" I didn't want to give them back right away, still hoping for those elusive Monday tickets.

Same just happened to me today. I got the same old error page as soon as I confirmed payment and yet apparently it went through anyway. Just as well I didn't get through for tickets on Monday then!
