Apple no longer features Serenity on the main HD QuickTime Gallery.

But (hope this isn't old news) you can still find and download the HD trailer here:
http://www.apple.com/au/quicktime/hdgallery/serenity.html

It's great if you have the horsepower (and big screen) to play it!

YT

the movie is not the Series. Only the facts have been changed, to irritate the innocent; the names of the actors and characters remain the same

Muches gracias, 'Bug.

But they don't have a PC codec which can handle the big size yet, do they?

When I first went to d/l the high-res trailer it says you need Quicktime 7, but for me, the unlucky PC owner, it wasn't out yet. All they have now is a preview. I tried watching the trailer with the Quicktime 7 preview but the video was choppy (kept freezing and audio cutting out).

Has anyone else had this problem or is it just my poor old computer?

Thanks

I can't even find a demo to try to play it, could you provide a link to the demo version of QT 7?

Hey

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/preview/

if this doesn't work, try

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/

The link to the preview is just below the blue button saying "free download" right below Jessica Alba and Dr. Doom in the middle of the screen. It's carefully hidden in small writting and damn easy to miss.

High definition video playback can even bring modern computers to their knees. Don't even try it without a cutting edge computer. The standard def trailers will play fine on older (read 6 months) computers just fine.

I don't think it's that drastic, 6 month old comps. Mine is 3 years old and it ran the hi-def just fine.

Thanks for the link.

The really big version you can download is really choppy when I try to play it, and the smaller version you can do from the website won't acknowledge the demo as quicktime 7. Ah well.

No need for QuickTime. Regardless of your platform, use VLC - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ - It plays a wide variety of video and audio formats.

Or QuickTime Alternative, http://www.free-codecs.com/QuickTime_Alternative_download.htm
