New Trailer Premier

Haven't seen a thread yet, so here goes.

The new domestic trailer for Serenity just went live on air during Part 2 of Serenity on SciFi. It is different than the international trailer (though many parts are the same), it is, I think, the funniest trailer to date, and is simply amazing. If you didn't catch it, get it as soon as it comes online.

Also, an ad during the same episode promised us features and interviews about the BDM throughout Firefly all fall on SciFi (a sneak peak at extra DVD content? Maybe, the BSG footage? Maybe again. Pure speculation on my part). So if you weren't one of the 1.6 million watching last week, you might want to reconsider for next week. Excluding the spoiler phobes, I imagine.

Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but was this the first time (in the US? World?) that Serenity Part 2 was shown with the opening credits?

It was excellent!!! I dont' know which version I am looking at, ever, but each version is good. I saw the premiere and I still cannot wait until September.

EMBERS

the trailer is great (but of course I liked the first one too),
and evidently Sci-fi channel plans to air some interviews and 'extras' from the movie with every week's Firefly episode (which is VERY cool).

Did anyone think they cut a scene?
I thought they did....

and I'm not crazy about the full screen instead of wide screen, because you lose people who should be in frame....
but basically I'm just happy Sci-fi is airing our show!

I saw it this evening while watching FIREFLY on Sci-Fi. Very different feeling to this trailer, more action oriented.

One thing I noticed that I didn't before....during fight sequences with River...they way she moves when she kicks. You can really see the dancer in her come out.

EVILBUNNIES

I was happy I got to see it when it aired on Sci Fi, and even more happy its online so I can watch it all the time now. Ah, how I loved the trailer dearly. Even though a lot of it was from the first 2 trailers, I loved the small snippets of new stuff.

I was happier with the sound on this one too, than with the last one. But still no Book. Hmmm... oh well. Guess we'll just have to wait for September 30th...

I like this one better than the other two.. after the International trailer, I said "It's pretty good, though I think my ideal trailer would be a mix of the two", and this pretty much is what I meant. Although I wish they'd still had a way to include "Let's be bad guys."

The one thing I like better about the international version was they didn't cut in between the above exchange and the "attention crew, we may experience some turbulence...and then explode". Thought it was much funnier uncut.

I think you're right, Barclay, about this being the first time Part II had the intro.

My only complaint was that the characters were getting smushed off the screen since it was not in wide screen (I did find it amusing how everyone was tall and skinny in the trailer, though, due to the same wide screen problem

).

Besides that, all was shiny!

No power in the 'verse can stop me!
