Whats next in the instalment of the chocolate covered people - devilishly cute munchkins and the absence of Fray...stick with this bizzare thread to possibly find out, but mainly go off topic completely. Topic? Is there one?

Oh, and there is a convention thats coming up i believe!

My boss has been by my office twice this morning. On the down side, I doubt he'd approve of my wasting too much time on a web forum; on the high side he's currently holding my second Firefly DVD and usually wants to chat about the latest episode he's just seen. A new convert!

I'll get my beer quota maximized starting tomorrow. I'm going on a two-day golf outing where I don't have to do any driving, so my consumption won't be inhibited by little things like legal blood alcohol limits. Drink without guilt, that's the ticket!

I made someone at work cry today - hurrah for me. Not so cute & funny now, am I?

Big hugs to PR - good or bad, exam results days are just the worst!

What else? Ah yes, people have been going mad in my CafePress stores! Logged on today to find I have $40.00 commission waiting to spend - which I'd be really excited about it it wasn't for the fact that my last three orders from CP are lost in the postal system somewhere. Not their fault, but I'm still loathed to order anything else until they turn up.

That is all.

Ah yes, the famous "Make Mechanics Money" light. "Check Engine" - what are you supposed to do, open it up and go, yup, still there? Bah, cars are pretty evil.

Now then, beer. Beer is bad. Richard Basehart is good.

Oooo, we should vote for who here we'd be most scared to meet in a dark alley!

So, viral marketing is in apparently. Let's go infect everyone's copy of Windows with a Blue Sun virus, that should get people's attention.

Although it's interesting that the left arm of Hollywood is using P2P networks to distribute its own adverts and the right arm is suing on the grounds that such networks have no other use than breaking copyright laws.

It is fascinating. Viral marketing is all the rage. Strange. it would be fun to have the logon wave a little blue sun logo instead of a little window or whatever the user has chosen...how much trouble will we get in for writing such a thing? Just replacing a graphic, right? Shouldn't be too hard.

Oh...we should have a 360...he can't resist the lure of a new console.

Never tried SoftImage, but Lightwave is my baby these days. I used to do animation in Max, importing models from Rhino, but that was a while back. Been 'waving since April, learning as I go and loving it. The program is what led me to Firefly, matter of fact. I wanted to see some examples of film-quality work 'wavers had done, and ended up hooked on the show for its own sake.

Turns out one can spend quite a few hours wandering city streets without accomplishing anything. Hence I have returned to the fray. On the subject of beers, my local in Scotland pours a wide range of great, but occasionally dodgy, West Coast ales. But most of the time I fall prey to their fantastic Erdinger... and it comes in such a sexy pint glass!

And then on the vague topic of gerks, needs, Lightwave and Babylon 5; don't know if any of you have seen this yet. it's a good laugh for ST vs. Babylon in-jokes, and has some fantastic amateur SFX (though it has been 6 years(!) in the making):

XL, I completely forgot! I named one of the Arran ales! Heheee... my claim to fame. I was out on Arran for a few days with my old roommate back in November 2003, on one of our 'reading weeks'. The weather was absolutely dreadful so we just rode a bus around the island, and visited the cheese factory and the brewery. The lovely lady who gave us a tour of the facilities and let us sample the ales said:

Lady: By the way, we're coming out with a new Christmasy ale in a few weeks, but we haven't even thought of a name yet (ie. Arran Sunset for the summer ale). If you can come up with a good name, i'll give you some free beer.
Us: ........ *thinkthinkthinkthinkthinkthinkthink*

And so we came up with Arran Fireside, which you can usually find in well-stocked pubs around Christmas time.
Huzzah! We were so chuffed.
