:::SPOILERISH:::

I will say only one thing about it...

Whedon, you are an evil man who can come up with one heck of a story... I want to watch the movie even more now, but odds are that every time I do see it, I'll hate you more and more.

... darn good story though... but what happens just makes it not so shinny.

All I can say is...hold off on any ranting until after you've seen the movie twice. Everyone, as far as I can tell, that has totally understands what was done, and you'll stop hating Joss, except in the same way that you always have.

I agree. I loved it a lot more the day after I saw it, when I had recovered from the shock.

Summer Glau to me - "You are so photogenic."

To be quite honest, I expect nothing less from Joss. Was I shocked? Yes. Many times. But that's what's so great about Joss' shows and now the Serenity movie - he's not going to play things nice and safe. And I enjoy his work all the more for it.

There's nothing worse nowadays in tv and movies than mediocrity and/or predicability

For instance, when 24 first came out, I was hooked, not just because of the style of the show, but because as a viewer I genuinely didn't know what to expect. Would Jack die in the last episode? possibly. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through the final episode.

Its the same thing with Joss' work. I love that he's unpredictable and is willing to take risks.

Oh I havent and do not hate Joss, heck I dont even know the fellar.

I do, however like his writing... he has the amazing ability to be able to tug on your emotions.

All I know is that what happens, simply isnt shinny... darn good writing... I'll watch the movie again and again.... its just what happens simply isnt shinny.

Once you see the movie its safe to read the book afterwards.

Although I must say the movies much more enjoyable to watch the second time through myself.

Saw it twice then read the book. Now I wanna see it again.

So I saw the movie..And scanned through the book at my favorite parts. And in some places the book makes it funnier...

"Am I talking to Miranda?"
- River gives Simon a classic little sister look.
"Im not a multiple,dumbo."

And in some places it deletes things, like at the end of the book where Simon and Kaylee "reunite" and they show everyone putting the ship back together.

But overall, Im gonna put some time in to actually read the book because..Pfft. it's Serenity!!

I dont wear underwear...You know that...I mean!?!
