ARBITRAGE

I've been watching the recordings of the past shows and realized, after watching the serenity episode, how much detail and depth is in each of the characters. The levels go deeper than the actual plot of the individual stories of each episodes. Has anyone figured out a chronology of time for each of the episodes? How many days or months pass between each of the episodes?

What is Books secret?

Who were the underground that helped Simon and River?

I can see their travels through the outworlds eventualy leading to a second rebellion againsts the feds.

I also think the Reavers have some changes made to them to make them what they are. Is it a fed creation from the same organization that did experimented on River or is it some sort of alien microbe or some other alien influence.

The characters in the series have great depth. I think even more so than the Farscape characters. In Farscape the Alieness is what made the characters in Firefly it's the depth and history of the characters that make them intriguing.

One hopes this series continues and has a long life.

I noticed that in the next episode, hopefully to air in the near future, there is a Nandi character. Any influence in the name from the C. J. Cherryh Invader series?

It's a great show.

HJERMSTED

Now that I have all the episodes taped, I've been able to watch them in their proper order. What an enriching experience it has been! All the plotlines and characterizations make perfect sense and the rhythm of the show flows much better. Even the switching between high tech futurism and old-style western seems to flow easier.

It's too bad Fox execs were lagging behind the evolutionary curve re: Firefly. This show has been excellent from day one with (IMHO) no weak links in the episode chain. I wish Fox would have trusted Whedon and Minear and let the show run as intended.

This is the first time that I have experienced a brand new show so comfortable and confident with itself that you'd swear it has been on the air for years.

Kudos to Mutant Enemy! UPN, you are about to receive a valuable gift!
