I smile so much I fear my face will freeze. Saw TV spots three more times this weekend. Ah. My only complaint is that the ads were on the smaller networks (UPN, WB) and not the big ones (ABC, Fox! , CBS, NBC). I guess this is targeting your audience or something. Anyway, just wanted to share how excited I am.

I have seen the trailer on FOX a bunch, TNT, FX, and Cartoon Network so it is getting around.

Keep shiny!

At least one aired during the Dolphins-Jets football game yesterday.

I don't know what your problem is, but I bet it's hard to pronounce.

I've seen a lot of commercials on the SciFi channel- no surprise there.

Seen them on FOX and alot on Cable, like during Monday Night Raw and SciFi Channel.

Saw two during the Browns huge win in Green Bay, GO BROWNIES!

Seen them on NBC a few times (but they cross with SciFi), and CBS. None on ABC yet...

I KNOW! Who would have thought that one?! Are you from Cleveland? I am a Browns fan too! Unfortunately, the 3 years I lived there, the Browns did not exist and then when I leave, they come back! Outrageous. I have been absolutely riveted by the Indians push for the playoffs this past month.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

My entire family gets excited every time we see an ad. A shout goes out to everyone in the house & we all come running to catch the ad.

I never get tired of seeing them.

Cleveland-ish. I'm a NE Ohio Prosecutor who loves the Browns. And yes, the Indians too (put an Indian in jail once, got an autogragh). Here's hoping they knock the Yankees outa the playoffs and catch Chicago to win the Division.

I usually go to two or three Browns games. This year I have tickets lined up for the Lions, Bears, and Dolphins, and a maybe for the Ravens, but their almost as hard to get as Steelers tickets.

I've seen the ad twice on Fox now. The second time was this morning during the news!

I was in another room, once I realized who was talking, I dropped what I was doing and ran into to the room to watch it! I can't wait 'til next Friday!!!

For the second week in a row, they played it during the first commercial break on The Simpsons on FOX.

Cool. I went to college in Cleveland and have been an Indians fan since they went to the World Series in 1995 (when they lost to the Braves). I was in my second year of college when they lost to the Marlins in 1997. It was so sad...

If they can catch the Sox, I will be ecstatic. My secret hope for them at the beginning of the season was to finish over .500 and they have guaranteed that already. I am almost afraid to hope they could make the playoffs but they are clearly one of the hottest, if not THE hottest team in MLB right now. I was reading an article a few weeks ago about how the writer thought the Indians had the easiest route to win the wild card because the writer thought that the Sox would be putting in scrubs and resting their starters for the two series against the Indians because the Division would be all wrapped up at that point. Oops.

That is great you get to go to the Browns games. Do you go to the Indians games at all? Attendance still looks low even with the team doing pretty well.

I saw one right after Survivor, before the "next week on" segment. That's a great spot. I think Universal is doing a good job of getting the word out.

I talked to a lot of rennies at the Tablerock faire this weekend, and a lot of them were just barely familiar with Firefly--but enough that they were interested in seeing Serenity. The signal is out there.

Indeed!

I guess it makes sense more will air on the WB and UPN... not so much because the studio thinks its fan base is 16, but because advertising rates cost less on those networks (which, now that Buffy and Angel are gone, we can all agree are not really networks).

Every time a TV spot airs, I will stop what I'm doing, or any conversation that I'm having, and just watch it. Make sure everyone else in the room watches it too. Could that be construed as annoying? I need to get people to notice. Or something.

Ads on the Simpsons or during football are nice, but it's not the media blitz I was hoping for when they pushed the release date back to September. Of course, if they OVERsaturated us, I'd just be complaining about that, too. Maybe.

Oh, and don't forget: there's another hellmouth in Cleveland, so Joss must have extra fans there.

LUNATIKAT

At my house, we run the other direction. We're desperately trying to avoid seeing anything about the movie, so that it all comes as a fresh experience. This is so hard! I WANT to see the ads, but I reeeally want to have the first pure experience. Oh, I am soooo squirming in my chair. I also have the Serenity movie book and the novelization "Serenity" sitting on the table next to me, leering at me, softly calling to me. I gotta say that I am enjoying working myself up into a frenzy of anticipation about this. I feel like a liddle kid at Kwismas again!
Anyway, I'm thrilled to see that it's getting advertised!
